Trump's embrace of white supremacy is the key takeaway here.

It's not so much that Biden won, but Trump lost, BIG TIME!

Bigly.

The President refused to denounce white supremacy when asked. Point blank.

Refused.

Obama's first debate performance in 2012 was panned for being too lethargic. These days that performance would be considered stellar in comparison to what Trump did tonight.

The media is both sides-ing this. Yes, the debate was a trainwreck, but only because of Trump.

The media is the enemy of the American people.

Trump told his supporters to intimidate voters at the polling places, to be violent if they don't get what they want, to side with white supremacist organizations. Trump lied and rambled and shouted over everyone, attacking the idea of a debate, bullying, being irrational, not making sense. What a disgrace, an embarrassment, a failure, a dictator wannabe.

It is a testament to the robustness of our democracy that we haven't descended into a dictatorship.

Trust me, we are. Trump intends on doing whatever he can to use the election, his brownshirts, and and the courts to make it official.

4). He lost his composure, raising questions about his capacity for diplomacy (“shut up,” “clown” etc)

What do you imagine you would say if someone interrupted you every time you opened your mouth?

It's that way for maybe the first two minutes, then they say it's 100% Trump's fault for the last four. They also bash Wallace for being an awful moderator.

I cannot stress enough how badly I needed to see someone tell Trump to his face shut up.

Remember when Al Gore sighing too loudly was a salacious presidential debate scandal?

Trump slapped Biden across the room on his Beau comment, he countered that by tearing Hunter a new on (thrown out of military, cocaine use, corruption)

Yeah, one of Biden's strongest moments may have been when he told people not to care about Trump and Biden's families but their own families. That might have undermined the ethics-based messaging slightly, but still Biden relating to the people at home seemed like a good tactic (even though Trump interrupting made it less effective).

Trumpvirus is losing and needed to change the trajectory of the race somehow.  The cesspool of sh*t vomiting out of his mouth was an attempt to pressure Biden into melting down.  That did not happen.

There was nothing which would significantly change the state of the race.  The status quo benefits Biden.
