Personally, he's a huge FF, for many reasons.  He stood by what he believed, and he was against the Vietnam War as a Republican. Those are two that are most notable, but there are more.

There are a number of things I disagree with Mr. Hatfield on, but he stands by those positions honorably, and the things I agree with him on he stood with just as much honor.
