Where would you rather live? Northern Virginia or San Diego?

The DC suburbs or sunny Southern California? 

NoVA = Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax
San Diego = anywhere in San Diego county: Chula Vista, Imperial Beach, the city, etc..

San Diego city, since I'm guessing they have better public transport.

The DC metro is one of the best subway systems in the world.

Since I would choose to live in Arlington (somewhere like Pentagon City, Crystal City, Courthouse, or Rosslyn), +1 advantage for NoVA when it comes to public transportation.

How is NoVA winning this so handily?  San Diego is awesome and has the best weather in the country, bar none.  

I've been to San Diego on several occasions...it seemed kind of dull to me.   But maybe that's because I spent most of my time in Chula Vista, so maybe I'm not giving it a fair shot.  And I prefer distinct seasons over a generic, arid sunny climate that lasts all year.

I also think most people are voting NoVA because Arlington and Alexandria are great places to live and work.
