I think a lot of people are forgetting how Ron Johnson managed to win in 2016 after being abandoned by the GOP nationally & while running against someone who was seen as a top tier recruit for the democrats.

Isn’t it also a case that the average person is more likely to know someone who is in a SSM rather than someone who has had an abortion and told them about it…

That is broadly why when SSM happened the right new it was harder to stop- people find it much harder to object when it’s a cousin, colleague or so getting married and when they see that it hasn’t led to Sodom reborn and they too spend their time arguing about where to go on holiday, who should have taken out the bins etc

Why is this not in every single ad that Barnes/Dems are doing?!

Because the Democrats are a broken-down dysfunctional disaster of a party. That's why Johnson is going to run away with this race.

Well why don’t you get involved and try to change it?

Is the Democratic bench in Wisconsin quite weak?

Democrats have often only won in tough races against the trend when they’ve ran a statewide elected official or someone who has a really strong brand- was there anyone like that in WI? I’m not too sure.

Barnes was a statewide elected official. He still is for a few more months.

I phrased it badly and meant someone who has won statewide in their own right.
