He might be pro-Ukraine, but is simping for Russia in order to humiliate Biden and the West. That's my theory. The interesting part is that there is actually no way of telling at this time how our policies towards Russia were to change if Biden or his surrogate lost. If Trump gets re-elected, what would happen would be obvious. If a relatively normal neocon R wins in 2024, it might be totally the opposite of what would happen if Trump won.

I mean I understand he wants his side of the aisle to come out on top, but I don't think the outcome of this war really matters in terms of that.

At this point, the only thing that will matter in 2024 is if inflation is at 10-20% or if inflation is 2-3%.

Ah the theory that he’s a piece of sh*t. Interesting 🧐

If Ukraine attacks Belarus that will be their downfall.
I don’t see any reason to think Ukraine would preemptive strike Belarus, it’d be more beneficial on the ground to have Belarus enter without justification as it would likely lead to army mutiny and domestic upheaval

Just a few examples of multiple social media outlets confirming that Ukraine has started the battle for Donbas on their terms and have launched successful counterattacks with the goal of an encirclement of Izium

SirWoodbury is a Russian fetishist, he will pretend not to be but he is. He should stay on here because he provides news of Russian victories which more pro Ukraine users may ignore, but keep that in mind.

He doesn’t want Putin to win so much as for Biden, the EU, and Zelensky to lose.
That arguably makes him worse tbf

Looks like we have a fog of war situation because Ukraine is saying Russia’s offensive has been pushed back to their initial boarders in direct contradiction to the reports WB and Omega posted

This is a different area, so no contradictions so far.

The seizing of Kreminna itself isn’t a contradiction but the other links claiming they made a deep push west and are close to encircling Ukraine around Izium is

Russia forces are too exhausted to storm the steel plant, Mariupol might not fall after all

So essentially Putin just did the warfare equivalent of Michael Scott declaring bankruptcy in Mariupol and is sending exhausted and shellshocked troops from there out to reinforce other areas?

So Russia grand strategy (and other sources and Russia movements points to this being the idea) is to pull off a pincer movement via north and south. However, this is a flawed idea on Russia’s part as 1) a pincer movement relies on speed and Russia forces are not moving quickly and between the mud and urban fight that will take place there is no reason for the pace to pick up and 2) they don’t have the numerical advantages to pull such a move off
