India-See Caste System,  intolerance(sometimes with violence) by conservative Hindus towards non-Hindus like Muslims/Sikhs.

First of all the caste system isn't racism, it's classism. But if we are talking about general bigotry then you have a good point.

Also Sikhs vote for the conservative Hindus (BJP and the Akali Dal which is a BJP ally), so you are hilariously wrong there. Don't forget what party Indira Gandhi was in and how much of a dirty socialist she was. I know you don't know any better but seriously...

In China you can purchase products colored in "n Black" and children are taught in schools (when studying foreign countries) that black people are lazy, stupid criminals while white people are intelligent and hard-working.  Japanese people still largely see themselves as the master race, and they allow almost no immigration lest their blood be tainted.  Many people in India, Pakistan, and within Central Asia are pretty much genocidal to other tribes/religions, as is also the case in Southeast Asia, and Russia of course isn't all that nice either.  So, obviously, Asia.

India and Pakistan as well have seen less violence and genocide than Europe has in it's past. Just sayin'.

And anyways when did religious bigotry (be it Hindu vs Muslim or Shia vs Sunni) become racism?

I voted for the Middle east, of course. Europe is a contender too.

I've always thought there was considerable tensions between Hindus and Sikhs.

So I'm wrong, it's not like Indian politics/ethnic relations is particularly easy to comprehend anyways.

You are right, Indian politics is hard to understand. I'm not tripping that you were wrong, but something had to be said! Sikhs form the BJP base vote in Delhi after all....

Not surprising considering what the Congress party did to them in Delhi...

On the more interesting (I guess) aspect of things in the thread, there's at least one Labour councillor in London who's a member of one of the Akali Dal groups.

I don't know if I would call the Akali Dal left wing or right wing. They are just the Sikh political party and that is the party they vote for in Punjab. In Delhi they aren't really viable, thus the Sikhs vote for the BJP.

So the fact that Indians use "fair and lovely" and crap like that makes them white supremacists or something? Key word: supremacists.
