According to a recent PPP poll, Tillis is underwater, having an approval of 31/37 with 31% not knowing who he is. Pretty bad numbers for him to start the year off.

PPP is a joke, they  are using a D+10 sample in a conservative leaning state.

Anyway they had Burr underwater too in 2016 and he still won by a good margin

North Carolina has a lot of Dixiecrats, news at 11.

In fact, as of today, North Carolina's overall Party ID is 38% D, 32% I, 30% R, despite voting Republican for president in both 2012 and 2016.

Are we seriously about to throw away NC-SEN '20 just because we can't find anyone? I thought Schumer was better at recruitment than this...
The problem is that the democratic bench is incredibly weak. All the democrats got wiped out in the previous elections. Even Cooper could end up being wiped out next year.

> Dems got Wiped out in Previous Elections.

> 6 -1 D Supreme Court and:

Can you be any less aware of reality?

[tweet.][tweet.] Ninja'ed

Anyway, it's seeming more and more likely Burr will be out of a job eventually. The question is simply who the clock favors, since he would need to be gone before September for there to be a special election.

I will reopen the NC-special thread if/when he gets closer to oblivion and such a thread is needed.
