That logo is also dreadful...a Jeb! exclamation point and an illegible font for his name.

Also three different fonts. No consistency.

Whaley and Schiavoni will be back. Pillich ... Maybe not.

The fairly accurate rumor mongrels over at 3rd Rail are reporting Kucinich will choose either Nina Turner of State Senator Skindell to be his running mate.

Kucinich/Turner? Jesus Christ, what a black hole of awfulness that would be.

Turner is good, though?

Pretty much everyone in Ohio hates her and with good reason.

Kucinich to pick Tara Mosley Samples. So Nina Turner without the baggage or the name ID.

For comparison’s sake, here’s yesterday’s logo:

The color scheme was reminiscent of the University of Michigan, arch rival to Ohio State.

I wish. A Democratic governor paves the way for Brown 2020.

Dems still have a rough road in Ohio since 2016, but they can pull it out.

Hopefully fundraising picks up on the Dem side, Dewine/Husted probably have about 10 million between them.

They have at least $9, yeah. Cordray should benefit from national support, but he's been Hatch act limited from engaging in fundraising for so long, I worry he'll be rusty drumming up support in the state. And there is money for Democrats in Ohio if you know where to look. See: David Leland.

Sad that the Honorable Nina Turner wasn't picked as Kucinich's running mate.

I wonder if Warren could help Cordray fundraise. She doesn't need the money in Massachusetts.

I feel like folks are assuming Warren and Cordray are particularly close politically just b/c they were strong supporters of the CFPA.  They might be, but I haven't heard anything suggesting that's the case.

What's the likelihood of Pillich switching to OH-01 and/or Whaley running for OH-10?

Low.

Whaley's only likely to run for OH-10 if Turner drops out. That seems unlikely.

And Pillich would be a lot more likely to run for the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners.

Columbus City Councilman Michael Stinziano officially in for Franklin County Auditor. Turns out Democrats haven't had the Auditor's office in decades. Mingo's got a big war chest, but Stinziano's much more likely to take out Mingo than Klein and O'Brien.
