I just tried to call her DC and Atl offices. The DC line was busy and the the ATL one sent me to voicemail. I guess a lot of people are calling.

Same.  Her web contact form is at https://www.loeffler.senate.gov/connect/email-kelly.  I've used this in the past and know they do read it.

The crazy thing is, if I understand the numbers correctly, she stood to lose far less than she was willing to spend on her election this year, if she had just left the stocks alone. So that makes this even more absurd (on top of atrocious and possibly illegal?).

Loeffler apparently caught for insider trading.

Honestly, this isnt good news in terms of the Senate race. Basically solidifies that Collins ( the stronger candidate) will be republican.

They're both weak General Election candidates. The GOP will slide even further in the suburbs with Collins.
Collins is actually a solid candidate for the general. Think of it this way-- if Trump wins, so does Collins, and I could envision him outrunning Trump a bit. I can not say the same of Loeffler, particularly after this.

Collins would be toxic in the suburbs.

Kemp was supposed to be too.

Kemp wasn't as far-right as Collins is.

This is not only a terrible answer that does not excuse profiting off of a public health disaster, but also has the added spice of being both terribly out of touch/elitist and also like she makes no decision on her own and does not think for herself.

Amazing that she is willing to dump bottomless money on a pointless Senate campaign but not on a decent crisis communication strategist, especially given the threat this poses to both her and her husband's careers.

Loeffler is a disaster and this saga is an incredibly bad look for Brian Kemp.

If she's telling the truth, shouldn't it be easy to post her communications with her accountant/broker, right?

Is three weeks in office the shortest anyone's ever gone before self imploding?

Probably. William Henry Harrison didn't fall ill until his 22nd day in office.

I've had the embarrassment of Collins being my representative for the past 8 years, but at this point I'd vote for him over Loeffler if they were the only two choices (thankfully, they aren't).

Is Loeffler the worst appointment of all-time?

Roland Burris says hi.

Are there any Georgia posters (or people more in tune to state politics) who know why on earth Kemp picked her? Was it a literal F you to every elected republican in Georgia?

She is a woman with lots of money, married to a husband with even more money.
That's about it.
Yeah I forgot about Burris, that is going to be a huge one to top.

The fact that Loeffler can even be comparable is incredible, though.

I've low key enjoyed Collins's campaign so far. His attack on the Loeffler gun ad was pitch perfect.

Has anyone actually gotten through to her office? Last I checked the Atlanta’s VM box was full and the DC was directing to the VM box. I left a couple of “lock her up” messages myself.

Loeffler is the weaker candidate now definitely but Collins is pretty far right and a trumper so who knows I think dems have a 55% chance of beating Loeffler and a 30% chance of beating Collins

She finally cleared out her ATL voicemail box if anyone wants to leave her a "lock her up" message before it gets full again.

Loeffler reports more stock sales amid insider trading allegations

Quote
The largest transactions — and the most politically problematic — involve $18.7 million in sales of Intercontinental Exchange stock in three separate deals dated Feb. 26 and March 11. Loeffler is a former executive with ICE, and her husband, Jeff Sprecher, is the CEO of the company, which owns the New York Stock Exchange among other financial marketplaces. During the same time period reflected on reports filed late Tuesday, the couple also sold shares in retail stores such as Lululemon and T.J. Maxx and invested in a company that makes COVID-19 protective garments.

On March 20 I contacted Loeffler's office via their web contact page (since their phones were tied up), urging her to resign.

Today I got an email response.  It begins:

"Dear Mr. ______,

Thank you for contacting me about the impeachment trial of President Donald J. Trump. It is an honor to serve as Senator for the people of Georgia, and I appreciate the opportunity to hear from you on this important issue."

Words fail me.

Yeah, this is Collins' seat to lose now. I'd half-expect the no-chance Republican candidates to drop out & endorse him soon for a favor later.

That said, I don't think he'll pass 50% in the jungle. If the national environment further worsens against Republicans, we'll have a puncher's chance.
