We have already had two cheerleader presidents - Georges H.W. and W. Bush - but neither were battle-tested beyond Yale College and these are not very well-known facts about them.

The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, by contrast, are indubitably the most famous cheerleader troupe in the world. While cheerleaders are part of virtually every NFL and NBA team, why the Cowboys' troupe in particular is so famous is a story too long and irrelevant to tell here - but I'll add that the Cowboys are known as "America's Team," despite their persistent failure to make recent Super Bowls.

Cheerleading is far more noteworthy in the USA (where many people consider it a serious sport) than in any other country, a full-time job in its own right, and the most life-threatening sport in the world. And some of them still have the time to get into petty fights and throw about sarcasm.

Yet none of the Cowboys troupe that I know of have ever sought elected office of any note; certainly none of them have been elected President. Do you think this will change at some date to be appointed, or will NFL representation in Washington D.C. be confined to Allred and the Commanders for the foreseeable future?

We've elected a railsplitter and haberdasher, so why not?

Well, NFL cheerleading is definitely not "a full-time job in its own right." At least, not one that wouldn't have you heading to food banks and collecting government assistance.

While cheerleaders certainly aren't stereotypically looked upon as an intelligent bunch, the reality is that LOTS of NFL cheerleaders are actually smart, accomplished, and have impressive day jobs.

That stereotype might be too much to overcome, though, and Cowboys hate is a real thing.

No, but the current Cowboys quarterback could be a legendary president.
