The Sens run over the last month has been very entertaining. Hoping we play your Rangers, HD.

Who do the Rangers want to play in the playoffs? If they want to play the Sens, then they better let us beat them tonight!

Let us pray that the Senators and Bruins get in.

Fairly unlikely, Pittsburgh has to lose both of their games.

Fabulous to see Winnipeg finally make it. I'll be cheering them on all the way, unless they play the Senators for the cup Wink

If it's Anaheim vs Winnipeg, there will be even more reason for me to cheer for the Jets, as the only team I hate more than the Ducks is the Leafs. (And not just because of 2007; wtf does Anaheim have a hockey team?)

I watched the final period of the Panthers vs. Bruins game yesterday (for obvious reasons), and yeah, there was no one in the stands in South Florida, except for a bunch of New England snowbirds decked out in black and gold.

Ottawa - Montreal
Tampa - Detroit
Rangers - Pittsburgh
Islanders - Washington
--------------------------------
Anaheim - Winnipeg
Vancouver - Calgary
St Louis - Minnesota
Chicago - Nashville

I'd take Montreal and the Caps, but this is a pretty good slate.

I was going to go to Nashville on Friday night, but the stupid Predators front office has banned ticketmaster sales with credit cards from outside their TV market. And I don't know anyone with a credit card based in TN, KY, AL, MS, or GA.

I think Ottawa has done a similar thing to keep the Habs fans out, and it's a horrible practice. If your franchise doesn't have fans, that's your problem.

The problem with Ottawa is, we're so close to Toronto and Montreal, that whenever we play them, Leafs fans and Habs fans gobble up tickets preventing hard working Sens fans from being able to get tickets. We have no shortage of fans willing to watch some playoff hockey.

However, it will have only a minimal effect, because this city is already full of Montreal fans (especially on the Quebec side). Before Ottawa got a team, the city was divided between Montreal and Toronto fans, and many of those fans have remained loyal, even after 25 years.

Can we talk about PK Subban not getting disciplined for that slash on Stone though? Broke the dude's wrist. There has to be at least one game for that. I know he got a misconduct to begin with, but you can't just break a dude's wrist like that.
Oh, come on now. Subban was not intending to harm Stone. He's not that kind of player. We're not talking Matt Cooke here... I maintain that he was trying to either break Stone's stick or move it out of position. Stupid choice by Subban and I get the 5 minute penalty, but a game misconduct/the suspension proposed by some fans is excessive. Anyway, Stone kind of overreacted by jumping as if a sniper hit him. Hell, he returned at the end of the game and participated in a scrum. He came back and probably deepened the injury. It clearly wasn't that serious. If you ask me, the slash in the Rangers game was just as bad, but didn't go punished.

Also, here's my prediction:

EAST
Montreal vs Ottawa
Tampa vs Detroit
New York Rangers vs Pittsburgh
New York Islanders vs Washington

WEST
St Louis vs Minnesota
Chicago vs Nashville
Anaheim vs Winnipeg
Calgary vs Vancouver

You're not biased at all are you, vivaportugalhabs

Well, he didn't knock Stone out for the series as feared, at least. And the Sens have been in every game (all three games were one goal games, two went to OT).

We came back to win 20 of 22 games to make the playoffs, so they're capable of making a come back.

Don't forget Anaheim. That was a particularly memorable year Sad

8 teams would be nice. Restoring the teams of my childhood!

also, with TB not playing well, the challenges to the Rangers look a bit weak in the East.  the two best teams left other than the NYR are Chicago and Anaheim.  I'd put Montreal fourth, Islanders fifth... but those ghosts, man...

Montreal? Seriously?

Thank God Chicago won. Tampa vs Anaheim would have made me very, very angry.
