I heard that the MDC was winning quite a bit, although these are just reports... the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission still has to release the results...

I noticed that the vote seems to be stronger for the MDC compared to 2005 this year using the current ZEC results compared with Adam Carr's. Joyce Mujuru won 90% last time, this time it's more like 70%, still high, but still a 20% swing.

I'm rather excited. The final election results give the House of Assembly to the MDC. Now the Senate and Presidential results need to come out. I guess they are releasing things based on the race rather than by precincts. This may take awhile. I'm predicting that the Presidential results come out later this week, maybe Friday or Saturday, possibly tomorrow, but it could be as late as Sunday. I just don't see how they can keep it from being released before Saturday. At least Zimbabweans aren't violent people (They have the highest literacy rate in Africa, something like 95%, despite the penury there, so they're rather educated).

This is the strangest election I've ever witnessed. I've never heard of a dictator trying to rig an election and failing.

Chavez I believe with his referenda.

I'm really sad now. I had hope for Zimbabwe. They were so close! Did anyone see how happy the people were when it looked like Tsvangarai had won... I am really depressed. Another win for dictators... Myanmar, Zimbabwe, what's next?
