Peter Thiel spends $850k more on supporting Kobach and attacking Marshall. Brings the total spent by group to $1.1 million. This must be a close race if people are amping up the spending this intensely.

Can't believe he'd give anything (let alone that much) to somebody who'd actively reduce his civil rights if he could.

I’m all for him spending his money on Kobach if it helps him win

KKKobach will win despite Marshall's lead in the polls. Not even a Trump endorsement would help Marshall.

Well, no. It might help him, & it's probably the only thing that could actually "help" him at this point.

I don't support Kobach, but there is nothing actually wrong with his statement. Mandatory vaccines are  unenforceable. I much more support employers and schools mandating vaccines.

Marshall (and all Republicans) are probably against mandatory vaccines as well. I don't see how that stance isn't criminal during a pandemic where the only way out is mandatory vaccination.

It's getting increasingly probable that Kobach ekes out a win here...

Trump has privately indicated he won't endorse anyone.

The most interesting aspect of this article in my view is that Ted Cruz is actively working against Marshall, but seems to not want to publicly align himself with Kobach.

NYT: national GOP is panicking about Kobach potentially winning, partially because NRSC data says 30% of GOP primary voters would support Bollier in November.

Schumer has 4 days. Sunflower PAC has already meddled to the tune of $5 million, they need to keep pumping in cash. The way Republicans are talking about this race, they really do believe Bollier is favored if Kobach is the nominee.

Republicans are blowing this race big time, and it’s not as if this wasn’t predictable when Roberts announced his retirement. Tossup would probably be too generous to Republicans if Kobach wins the primary, and it’s by no means Safe R even with Marshall or Hamilton (at best Lean R).

It kinda sucks we haven't had a poll here for two months. I guess we can assume it's close with all the bedwetting.

That is very much Peter Thiel frankly.

We'll get the SurveyUSA poll after the primary is over

Wonder if Hamilton hurts Marshall more because while his tone is more Kobach-like, he's not Kris.

They need to poll the race instead of given us Kobach numbers, they gave us a partial poll

If true, Kobach is likely to win the primary. Then again, it's been a month and a half since then.

If 30% of Republican primary voters would really vote for Bollier, then how much would she win by, I wonder?

I mean the contours of this contest are going to be different than in 2018. Marshall is going to win his district and probably a solid chunk of the Wichita media market that isn't in his seat. Kobach is good to have to do well in the rest of the state to compensate for the first being a loss, if he wins.

Pretty sure this is the straw poll from the Olathe GOP Summer Picnic that happens every year. I wouldn't put any stock into these numbers - you have to pay $5 in order to vote, and candidates will typically pay supporters to show up and cast a vote for them. Colyer (and others) did it in 2018, wouldn't be surprised if candidates did it in 2020.
