Saying "some of my best friends are black" is second only to starting a sentence with "I'm not racist but..." as an indicator that something incredibly racist is about to be, or just has been, said.

Exactly. I use that defence to explain how I'm not racist: "I have no Black friends, therefore I'm not racist, because I don't have a "token" Black friend".

What I mean is if a person  feels the need to mention that they have a black (or gay or immigrant or anything else) friend in a conversation, generally that's because they're covering for the fact that they've just said something racist.

I knew this was coming for awhile but still sad. Outliving Reagan and Thatcher is sweet though. RIP.

Also, it's great that he outlived the apartheid allies Reagan and Thatcher.

Look, I'm not a racist. I'm not going to add that I'm not a racist because I have black friends, as that would be a lie. I'm just not a racist. Now, if you give me a reasoned argument, as to why you personally think that I am a racist, then I will try, to the best of my ability, to answer you. But for now, all I can do is repeat that I am not a racist.

Anyway, I am honoured to have had this thread renamed after me. I would like to petition that it's title be changed to the Cassian deluge of absurdity, ignorance and bad posts.

State Comptroller: Topinka (R-inc.) wins reelection, her 5th statewide election victory. I just don't see anyone voting for someone who looks UGLY.

More election insight from great visionary TX Conservative Dem.

To be fair, for an office such as State Comptroller, those downballot elections are essentially beauty contests.

Not only is it pretty misogynist and is the least of Simon's problems, it's also implying that a seventy year old woman is attractive.

Isn't thinking that a seventy year old woman can't be attractive rather ageist?

The problem with anti-ageism as an ideology is that it the line between being anti-ageist and being anti-truth can be a fine one.

Of course. Just look at Helen Mirren. However, the simple truth is that to most youngs she's the exception to the rule.

Also the fact that the Democratic frontrunner never really was a looker herself and the Republican frontrunner is obese.

Far too generous to the so called Israelis.

The bolded part is, of course, the problem here.  And hoo boy what a problem.

Note the first sentence of opebo's response to traininthedistance here in conjunction with the last five words:

Its not the same thing, friend!  In the male case his parts work, he just can't get what he wants.

The parts usually work in the female case, too- they just have incompetents for a mate.

You're displaying awful sexism, train.  Apparently you assume the woman is such a fainting weak flower that she can't simply tell her man what to do.  Nonsense.  I can tell you from experience only a large minority of women can o****m properly (that is vag*****y).

Ken Buck is doing better than even I expected. The campaign hasn't even begun and Udall is only up 4 points, and that's with lots of undecideds.

Ask Udall if he supports CO DemocRats anti-2nd amendment agenda

Anyone else having flashbacks to 2012?

How is that sexist, Nathan? I believe in women's equality in terms of making decisions and so forth.  That has no bearing on the matter of sexual prowess.  After all only a large minority of men are any good at sex either.

"Good at sex" makes no sense. It's like saying someone is good at eating. Whatever doesn't kill you and satisfies your hunger and nutritional needs is all you need. To be "good at sex" you just have to deliver what your partner wants and get what you want as well so everyone wins. What those wants are is highly variable. An orgasm reached by vaginal stimulation is very often not what your partner wants, needs, or expects. Sex should have the expectation of delivering pleasure to everyone involved. It's standard that a woman requesting what gets her off will be expecting you to toy with her clitoris. That's not not a 'proper' orgasm, it's just the easiest, most obvious route.

You're so caught up in your prudery and clitorocentrism that you can't see anything clearly.

I'm fantastic at eating - I'm a gastronome.  Most people are bad at it.

There is no proper way to eat, opebo. Whether you shove it in your mouth or up your ass doesn't matter. The point is whether or not you absorbed the nutrition. Not to mention: a chocolate seems to taste better if you haven't had a chocolate in a while. When was the last time you went without chocolate?

Which one of these two is more conservative? Very hard to tell these days.

Our resident freetard comes back to ask whether avowed progressive Lisa Madigan is more conservative than Mark Kirk.

Somebody who claims that only a 'vaginal orgasm' is 'proper' because he doesn't want to go to the trouble of stimulating his partner's clitoris has no standing to talk to anybody else about anything-'centrism'.
