You're far more optimistic about America's social progress than I, Vepres.

I myself say between 10-20%, and closer to 20 - sixteen to eighteen seems about the right range. Of that, seventy to eighty percent of the vote would come from whites, and roughly twenty from black nationalists.

Perhaps it's where we live. Boulder and rural Ohio are two very different places. However, I personally think that most "racists" aren't racist in the traditional sense, but are simply uncomfortable around blacks.

I tend to be an optimist about these things in general.

10% or more. But almost a moot point, 50% of blacks are discriminated against in housing and we have the lowest percentage of blacks in majority white schools since '68. Anyone who thinks we've come a long way because we have a biracial man in the white house (who lost the white vote anyway with an economic meltdown and 2 failed wars) is fooling themselves.

Of the White population would be a more interesting figure.  I imagine most blacks and Hispanics and Asians would be against it (to anyone that disagrees, look at the Alabama vote map from some of their recent segregation-related referendums/whachamacallits).

I concur. Southern whites (Deep South) would vote around 50-60% for segregation. Overall in the country, maybe 15-20% of whites would vote yeah, and 2-3% of non whites, which comes to around 10-15% nationwide.

I would say around 16%. I think it would get high numbers in rural areas like where I live, but do poorly in cities.

Nah, it wouldn't be a majority, but it would still be depressingly high - probably something like 38% in Alabama and Mississippi, and probably 10-15% of whites nationwide..

My guess would be almost exactly 10% but I went with 10-20% because I feel its more likely that more than, rather than less than 10% feel that way.

From 10-20%, with majorities of white voters in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.

10-20% seems about right, though I imagine the vote would be highly regionalized.
