PPP is surveying Georgia and Montana this weekend.  I am surprised that Q has yet to look at Connecticut or Wisconsin.

What would I like to see?

1. Colorado. The tipping-point state of 2012.

2. Missouri. Could it be a bellwether again?

3. Wisconsin.  Fringe of competitiveness, popularity or lack thereof of the governor.

4. Arizona. Fringe of competitiveness.

5. Washington. Most electoral votes not yet shown.

6. South Dakota. Hot Senate race possible.

I really want PPP to do Arkansas.  We have a big Governors and Senate race in 2014 and we also have the possibility of Hilldog in 2016.  I would like to see how see would do as of right now.

The five states that Bill Clinton won twice and Obama never came close to winning even once (AR, KY, LA, TN, and LA) comprise 38 electoral votes, which is as much as... Texas.

Arkansas would be interesting. Tennessee would probably be about the same.

A suggestion for PPP in both Arkansas and Tennessee -- Al Gore vs. George W. Bush.

NJ (Monmouth University):

Adults: 62-31 approve
RV: 60-33 approve

This marks only the second time Obama reached 60% approval in the Garden State. The previous 60% approval rating came in May 2011, shortly after Osama bin Laden was killed.

The Monmouth University/Asbury Park Press Poll was conducted by telephone with 803 New
Jersey adults from February 6 to 10, 2013. This sample has a margin of error of + 3.5 percent.

Maybe a bit, but recent state polls have all shown higher approval there than he got in the Nov. election.

Which means he could actually have a tied approval among all RV SC voters.

But as elsewhere, approval is above the vote for him.

These two require no great change.

A recent poll showed Obama down 45-52  instead of 43-55, or something like that.

Dirty eyeglasses. I misread a "3" as a "5". Correction made. The latest poll was the Blankenship poll which showed a 43% approval rating.
