I think OP means which candidate would be the most logical backlash against Trump's style. Like Bernie wouldn't be a backlash as much as Trump failing up to his populism promises while someone like Harris would be a reaction to his style and positions

Warren or Gillibrand would be the perfect reaction to go after Trump directly, this is why the dirt is being dug on Warren as we speak


But Harris is the reaction to his base and what he purports to stand for.

Biden, Harris, and Warren

Biden in that Trump's presidency is a reaction against Obama's and electing Biden would be a rejection of the rejection of Obama. Something like that.

Harris would be a rejection of the white male primacy of Trump's persona.

Warren just 'cause she likes to rail on Trump so. I like her better when she rails against the economic system that's unfair to the average American; her rants against Trump make her seem less intelligent than I know she is.
