~10 million watched the hearing Monday. That's a huge audience for daytime.

Unfortunately, probably 9,9 million were democrats and the remaining 100k were Qanon'ers expecting Trump to interrupt the broadcast with the EBS announcement "ladies and gentlemen, the Storm is upon us".

I guarantee that Loudermilk had no ill intent. A his former constituent his office was responsible for the Capitol tour I took in 2018, and the staffer who did it told us that he more or less has a hyperfixation on Capitol history. He prides himself on (allegedly) giving the most thorough tours of anyone in Congress, and gives them personally whenever he has time to (he only delegated ours to the staffer because he was speaking on the floor during it). I hate to defend him since I can't stand his politics, but I don't think he did anything wrong here.

I am shocked that the notoriously corrupt wife of a notoriously corrupt Supreme Court Justice, who has faced no consequences for decades-long partisanship and disrespect of the office of her husband holds, would participate in an attempted coup.

This *should* spell the end of Clarence Thomas's career.

I mean, the fact that he sexually harassed multiple weapon and then lied about it under oath should’ve ended his career.  The fact that Kavanaugh once tried to rape a woman (and also lied about it under oath) should’ve ended his career.  This isn’t really about what should happen.  The “should” is obvious, but it doesn’t effect what will happen: nothing.

Cheney just paraphrased Howard Baker's famous quote "What did the President know and when did he know it?"

Judge Luttig is hard to listen to.

I’m losing focus on what he’s even talking about. Does he have a medical condition? I don’t want to be a d*ck talking sh** about him if so.

So far his testimony is ineffective due to the way he’s speaking. They should not have had him speaking. Who can follow what he’s saying? Dumb move by the committee.

Seems like some kind of a speech impediment. Age related maybe? If you put everything he says together it makes sense it's just coming out in a labored manor.

I concur.  Having a really hard time listening to Luttig or following what he's saying.  I've not seen this kind of behavior before.  What he's saying isn't even that interesting, it's just "the 12th amendment doesn't allow the Vice President to singlehandedly pick the President", explained in thousands of words over dozens of minutes.

I don’t even remember the question he was asked.

I feel bad for criticizing him. He’s clearly got something wrong. My issue is with the committee for having him up there. Surely they knew how this would come across?

I wondered about his age too, but just checked and he's only 68.

DOJ just requested, again, transcripts of all of the committee's interviews, says it's evident that some of the transcripts are relevant to prosecutions already underway.
