The Democrats are guaranteed to defeat Trump, hold the House and take the Senate.

However that requires a blood sacrifice. So for the sacrifice the Venezuelan government will fall in an uprising and Maduro and all high level Venezuelan government officials will be murdered in the streets Gaddafi style.

Sounds like a win-win to me, as long as the Democratic congressional majorities are not filibuster-proof and are assailable (but even then I think a feeling of common humanity towards the Venezuelan people requires taking the deal, really).
