Sununu's a strong candidate? Wow! Next you'll tell me SirWoodbury's too scared to leave the forum for a year!

Denying the truth and putting head into sand is, surely, NOT a good politics...

He's not denying that Sununu would be a strong candidate, he's ridiculing Sir Woodbury taking a victory lap and starting a new thread to boast about a banal assessment that everyone already agrees on.

Maybe Gail Huff can move up to the Senate race.

I try to avoid conspiracy theories but will just come out and say it: there is something deeply, deeply suspicious about the chorus of top-tier Republicans ruling out this race in rapid succession.

I don't get it. Spell it out for us?

It stands to reason that Sununu was waiting until after the Virginia election to announce his decision - I can see not wanting to say no and be blamed for hurting Youngkin, even if that's ridiculous - and that Youngkin's good showing didn't change his mind on running. Everyone was waiting for Sununu.

Sununu was clear-eyed about what being a Senator is all about.

This is interesting and the candor is appreciated, but he's going to look like a total hypocrite when he then just goes ahead and endorses whoever the GOP nominee is (seeing that this person will be involved in the obstruction he claims to disapprove of)

I don’t think so, he can easily say Hassan does the same thing for Republican presidents, so it’s just about him not wanting to waste his own time.
