CNN has an article saying the discrepancies in Wayne County vote tallies are approximately 450 votes:

Quote
Out of more than 878,000 votes cast in Wayne County, there was a discrepancy over approximately 450 votes, officials there have said.

If this is the "excuse" the Republicans make for delaying certification, I don't think any non-kangaroo court will uphold the delay. Biden won Michigan by 150K. If they are still alleging massive fraud, then they would need to bring evidence of it, of which they have none.

^ idk if this is fully accurate or not, but I believe that if MI were to just not certify, then the magic # threshold becomes lower. So getting to 270 wouldn’t even matter. So that would be a failed plan by Trump, but I could be wrong.

270 is a requirement unless Michigan ceases to be a state. In the event Biden failed to reach 270 (even if he had a majority of the certified states) it would still go to the house.

Tomorrow will be an interesting day.

I think Pennsylvania will go forward and certify.  Michigan election officials will likely deadlock 2-2 with the Republican calling for an audit to delay certification and chaos ensues...courts will now get involved. Maybe the Governor can step in and remove both Republican officials, this would likely also have court intervention. Michigan will be the state to watch.  No wonder why Trump has been all over Michigan officials. He sees an opening.

Michigan wasn’t even remotely close. This is absolutely outrageous. This unprecedented assault on democracy continues and it makes my blood boil that they’re even trying it, even if it is doomed to failure.

Another Republican says “it’s over,” significant that this one’s from MI I guess.

I think it's a good time to remember that while Trump's ridiculous efforts to overturn the election aren't gaining traction and will fail, the only reason this is even remotely possible is because the vast majority of republicans (not just politicians) only care about power and not the rule of law, morals, ethics, etc.

These are the same people who preach about abortion being murder but could care less about senior citizens dying of covid.  Most of normal society doesn't realize what a cult like world 40% of the country lives in, which has grown because of outlets like FoxNews.

Just so we don't forget...
  • 19 days after Election Day
  • 18 days after any other losing candidate would have conceded
  • 15 days after all media outlets called it

And yet this makes him one of the first Republicans in the whole party to acknowledge Biden's unambiguous win.

I'm pretty sure this guy is actually good friends with Biden, so him coming out like this isn't surprising.

Just a reminder, that so many republican operatives are still throwing down and fighting against certifying Bynes election despite his clearly losing the Electoral College by at least three states, and that at least one of which isn't even remotely close. Can you imagine what this anti-democratic thieves would do if it were actually down to Georgia or Arizona? Did go to the mattresses to undermine a lawful legit election result.

Of course all this ignores the fact that find one popular vote by millions and close to 4% at this point. The Electoral College is an absolute Time Bomb waiting to go off

We're 50,000 votes from Biden losing despite the 4% PV win. It's nuts.

"Votes" and "people who voted" is the same thing.

What is he talking about ?

Does he mean "votes" and "registered voters" ?

And even then it doesn't make any sense, because there are always fewer votes cast than registered voters (except in states like WY, which have election-day registration).

I think he means there are more votes in the tally than people recorded as voting (there aren't). But what happened is some precincts in Wisconsin and some other states have more votes than registered voters going in because you can same day register. But he doesn't understand this nuance.

I don't know what "voting for unsuspecting people" refers to though.

Rough Alaska numbers by borough. In addition to Biden flipping Anchorage, it looks like Trump has narrowly flipped North Slope.

Swing map - looks like near-total depolarization with the exception of some Democratic areas of the panhandle becoming more Democratic.

Dane/Milwaukee recount status:

Dane: 11.2% of vote recounted, Biden loses 35 votes, Trump loses 13 votes, Trump net of 22 votes
Milwaukee: 12.6% of vote recounted, Biden gains 1 vote, Trump gains 1 vote, net of 0 votes

Milwaukee City and Madison currently do not have any votes tabulated for their recounts yet.

PA won’t certify results until next week because 4 counties are not making it today.

Westmoreland will continue to count until next week.

Crosspost from AAD: Here's the 1992-2020 Georgia county swing map. Two narrow Democratic wins 28 years apart.

Westmoreland and Schuylkill are two of the biggest solid GOP counties. They could finish counting today if they wanted to but are quite obviously delaying things on purpose.

So the 1992 vote state was fairly uniform across the state? Of course Perot got 13% in GA in 92 which gets in the way

Can they be fined or sued or something if they miss today’s deadline ?
