I would prefer to be Governor, but being a Senator seems more fascinating to me.

Well, former Governors are not a rarity in the Senate.

I appreciate your endorsement, but I believe I was just supposed to choose one.

Sort of concur with this.  The Senate has a certain grand mystique about it and you have the possibility of accomplishing some things of real historical significance, but on a day to day basis I think it could be a lot less satisfying as you run into the frustration of trying to get anything done.   Also narrowing my focus to a particular state rather than trying to deal with all the world's problems might be better for my mental health (For a similar reason my ideal cabinet position would be Interior rather than State).

I meant I prefer to lead, but it would be more interesting to constantly be finding solutions. Mental hard work is enjoyable. I would like to work on a grand policy plan for America.

Then you really won't like being a Senator!

On second thought, I would like to be Governor of, say, Wisconsin, if only to live in Madison.

Cathcon's creepy attraction to James Madison continues.

Going by my state, probably governor, in part because the recent track record suggests it's MUCH easier for a Republican to be elected governor in Michigan than to the Senate.

Senator. High name recognition for little work compared to being governor, and have power to actually accomplish policy unimaginable for a governor would (although this doesn't sound extremely significant or realistic in today's world).

Governor, easily.  I would have the ability to appoint my friends/allies into powerful positions and could really delve into an issue that fascinates me:  rural economic development.

If you play it right you can be Senator for life.
I want to be in the senate at 100 years old like Strom Thurmond.

Fun fact: my aunt met Storm Thurmond, I believe on several occasions.

It depends. But on the most of cases, I would choose Governor's Mansion to Capitol Hill.

If I "loved being in politics" or whatever?  Governor, easily.

However, I'd much rather be a lazy Senator who didn't read all of the bills and partied.

You and Rubio could stay out late and hit the DC bars and then show up to work the next day hungover. As long as you were buddies with Rubio, the media would give you a pass for not reading any of the bills.
