Among male names, Joseph and David might be overrepresented with Jews?
And Christopher with Scandinavians?
David maybe, but Joseph absolutely not. My hometown was about 30% Jewish (but much less now) and all Joseph's/Joe's/Joey's were Italian. Biden's strength with Joseph's is certainly linked to his strength with white catholics.
Joseph may be both Catholic and Jewish. I live in an area that was traditionally all Jewish and is still majority Jewish, and it seems that everybody is Daniel (the big winner), David, Benjamin, or Joseph, with some Adams too in a certain age group. FWIW,
this site lists Joseph as the top boy name in Israel (though the female names listed there aren't representative of where I live).
