Well we don't currently have a national department of education, so maybe we could add that? The only problem is the title "Return Education to the Regions".
Actually we do have a Department of Education.

Historically in Atlasia, the Departments from RL have all considered to have existed within their umbrella Atlasia departments (SoS, SoIA etc). Nothing with regards to the reset has changed that in any regard, though it did delete the statute clarifying it:

I have still been using that as a guide of sorts for agency names as I craft legislation like the Research Grant process, and some healthcare texts.
Formally re-establishing this was one of the first acts of my brief presidency, accomplished with Executive Order 39-005. Apart from the Subdepartment of Justice (item b), recently reorganized as the independent Department of Justice (Executive Order 42-002), this remains the portfolio of the Internal Affairs Secretary.

I support the framework for reform proposed by this amendment, though I am curious as to how we will reduce funding retroactively from July 2017. Tongue

Presuming that the previous amendment has been adopted, for want of any objections or other debate in the last three days, I offer the following amendment:

Apologies for the lateness of the question, but — where are these cuts coming from? Are we simply reducing funding for all DoE programs by 25%, or are there specific areas being targeted?

The amendment is adopted.

I read operating budget as basically administrative costs and personnel and the only programs we would be cutting are those dealing with curriculum setting beyond enforcement of the requirements stated in Section 2. I would be open to considering amendments to target the cuts in certain areas and refine the language some. I was planning to offer one on Tuesday since I hope to have time on that day for such.
Excellent, thank-you.
