Massive HP. In recent days, it seems like he tries to "outdo" Cruz as most obnoxious senator from his state. That's a tall order, but he's really trying.

HP. One has to wonder what was in the minds of those Texan voters who split their tickets between him and Biden. Cornyn is still more inoffensive than Cruz, despite his recent comments, but he is craven and has little backbone.

Not a HP, but needs to shut the f**k up. His 'impeach former Democratic presidents' and 'women who get married and want to change their spouse' comments made me want to throw up, he's an embarrassment for Texas. Hopefully he retires in 2026.

He's supposed to be one of the more "reasonable" Republicans.

Anyone who still supports Trump is on the HP list. Denouncing him is a necessary but not sufficient condition for getting off of it.

His broken promises:

- Build the wall
- Deport all illegal immigrants
- Repeal and replace Obamacare with "something terrific"
- Ban Muslims from entering the US
- Close carried interest tax loophole
- Bringing the troops home
- End Common Core
- Reduce the deficit
- Bring back coal

... just to name a few. And these were signature campaign promises from 2016, not just throwaway comments or things buried deep in a campaign website or party manifesto. There was zero reason for anyone to vote for Trump because of his policies.

I'm very well aware of this, but Cornyn's recent comments are nevertheless concerning, and very revealing about his motives. They help to demonstrate that the more "inoffensive" Republicans, when it comes down to it, are not willing to do anything substantive to stand up to Trump, from a moral or legal perspective.
