This. I really did not expect Trump to actually take action on Syria, which Assad probably also believed. Perhaps the reports of Bannon losing influence within the White House might have some credibility.

... However, Assad wouldnt be stupid to try using it with her

I agree with this.
Russia and other dictators think trump is a clown (thou, to no one's surprise), and Assad via Putin's advice, decided to test Ronald McDonald.

It was one of the reasons why I supported her in the primaries.

Yes, and she wouldn't warn the Russians in advance either if she knew they were aiding the gassing. We'd probably all be dead by now had she won.

(I'm only 25% kidding-no nukes but I'm so, so, so glad she lost tonight even if Trump has no moral high ground over her on foreign policy until proven otherwise).

Yes, but only after having appointed a much more astute NSC, having filled the State Department with informed career diplomats and strategists, having contacted and discussed all options with these people, weeks of careful planning, creating contingency plans for if something went wrong/various potential reactions from Russia/various potential reactions from all the factions within Syria, and would not have done so while also trying to push through a Supreme Court nominee and trying to rewrite healthcare, and facing a government shutdown, and firing a major advisor. I can also guarantee that her right-hand-man during the operation would not have been the Secretary of Commerce, Chelsea Clinton's husband wouldn't have been in the room, and they would not be following the operation from a golf club.

Of course she would have.

There would have been far, far more than missile strikes if Clinton won.

Of course. She probably would've done something close to putting troops on the ground to actively fight by now.

Exactly. Trump is certainly no peacenik, but Hillary is more of a hawk.
