Yeah anybody inclined to care much about SCOTUS nominees probably understands Kirks position. It's hilarious to see democrats talking about the constisttution though it almost seems surreal.

They may understand Kirk's position, but still prefer a liberal replacement on the Supreme Court. I'm sure there are Democrats in Illinois who don't mind Kirk, but who would prefer a Democrat. That's why Kirk is in so much trouble.

RIP Kirk. There are definitely Republicans I'd rather see kicked out of the senate than him, but I'll be very happy to be able to say "Senator Duckworth."
