I think he just meant the riding.

But yeah, the NDP actually won the Inuit vote in Nunavik, but the Greens were a close 2nd.

I suppose Greens may have won Inuit vote, since I suppose NDP got a bigger share of the small white vote than them.

Ah, maybe. But they won the Inuit territories. I think it was you that did the math?

Inuits in Nunavik (All Nunavik minus Whapmagoostui, green candidate was Inuit, NDP was Cree, Bloc was incumbent):
NDP: 797 (30.1%)
Green: 752 (28.4%)
Lib: 572 (21.6%)
Cons: 327 (12.4%)
Bloc : 197 (7.4%)

McGuinty said he'll serve out his term, so no by-election in Ottawa South this summer.

Old news. Too bad though, I've never voted in a by-election before.

He'll probably wait a long time again. It's not Labrador. Maybe go the day before the NS election? Or perhaps a Fall Ontario election?

Here's Brian Topp's chance to run for the NDP, lose, and never be heard from again...

You aren't the only which proposed that.
Who ran there in 2011?

Who ran there in 2011?

Julie Demers.

The NDP should run someone from the Haitian community, they make up 20% of the riding.

Oh, I know her, she is a very kind person, but I'm not sure she is the right person to do that.

Trudeau's still in his honeymoon. I'd write off Bourassa for the NDP.

They never liked him to begin with, plus he ran the BC NDP campaign.

Correct. Bourassa is the perfect "Trudeau Liberal" riding.

The man thought he was the sh[inks] just because he was in Jack's inner circle.  He was the establishment leadership candidate, and you know me, I'm pretty anti-establishment when it comes to politics, even if it's the NDP. I'm still angry that the party tried to shove him down our throats when he was unheard outside NDP circles. Sure, they hated Tom but if you wanted to stop Tom, you had better find a better candidate. Oh wait, there was none... They should have just held there noses, and worked for the better good and back Tom, because he was going to win from the beginning.

Interestingly, English is only the 6th biggest language in Bourassa. It is behind French, Italian, Creoles, Arabic and Spanish.

BC Liberal MLA Ben Stewart is resigning his Westside-Kelowna seat so Clark can return to the legislature. Depending on when the writ's issued, by-election could be as early as July. Very safe Liberal seat- he won with 58% last month.

308's Bourassa analysis.

No one has brought up a vacancy in Nova Scotia? Manning MacDonald (L-Cape Breton South) resigned last week from the provincial legislature.  The riding has been Liberal since 1974 and will likely stay that way. Interestingly, the CCF held it in 1941.
