The markets will be wild for the next week or so, but will settle-down soon afterwards.
The entire process of unwinding from the E.U. will take approx. 2 years, so there will be very little to no effect for our election in only 5 months.

On a different note, I can see Scotland voting once again to leave the UK, and winning this time.
There is also rumors of Northern Ireland leaving, and possibly merging with the Republic of Ireland as one nation ; doubt the Ireland merger will take place.
