There have been a number of years I haven't given anything up since it seemed too childish to me for awhile, but I'm back at it as I understand the real meaning better and since I had one super productive year losing soda addiction in college. I don't eat very much (only 3 meals since Ash Wednesday though that's unusually low), so I am determined to give up "excessive sleeping" qualified as my sad self lying in bed for 45 minutes half conscious each morning. Aiming to get to out of bed before 8:50 and ideally by 8:15 on weekdays (and definitely not sleep until 11 on weekends! More like 9:30 then). Mixing health improvement with "giving up" guilty pleasure. Unique so let's see how it goes.
