Heck, just watch some early seasons of the Apprentice. He comes across as 10x the president 2019 Trump could ever be.

Reality TV isn't real man. Trump's always been an idiot and know nothing.

He's always been this way. Ask the people in NYC who came across Trump and "angered him" and received nasty letters and cut-up articles with black marker or his own rambling notations for years afterwards. He's always been this way, why don't people get that?

If Democrats actually believe that Trump is going through dementia, then they are being awfully cruel to respond the way they do in the face of his suffering.

I think he's getting older and cracking under pressure but I don't give him a mental health pass. He's acting how he's always been. This is who he's always been. Watch old interviews, he's always been a bully, know-nothing, conman, self promoting jerk.

Has Mr. Trump gone off the deep end, and everyone just goes along with it?

This is the way Trump has always operated. Why is this so difficult for people to understand?

Why would it be shocking that he asked a foreign country to dig into his opponent? He did the exact same thing as candidate Trump and got away with it.

Trump was this petulant and non-attentive decades ago. I think people give Trump an out when they talk about his mental decline. Anybody who's followed this guy knows he was always these things.

Except he wasn't. Not to this extent.

If this whole Presidency were a sitcom, what we have here would be what is called colloquially Flanderization.

You haven't been paying attention. Read what Tony Schwartz the ghostwriter of The Art of The Deal that made Trump a household name says. Read what people who worked for him say going back decades. Watch any serious interview with him from years ago. Read about how he ran Casinos with the most inane management style ever. Read about how people who made The Apprentice struggled to put a coherent show together because Trump was so bad.

People are really uniformed about Trump.

He's always been a petulant, egotistical, lying ignorant moron.

Yes so now he's all those things but older and also besieged by his own misdeeds. Trump's problems are his own making. Trump is not persecuted. His unraveling has more to do with his personality and illegality than his mental decline. He expects Presidential power to make him untouchable and his power unquestioned, anything that challenges that worldview angers him.

Trump has always been a vindictive loon. Just ask anybody that criticized him in the New York tabloids or didn't do a business deal he wanted. Ask them about the poorly scribbled letters they received. Now we're seeing those bizarre letters sent with a Presidential seal and it's a cop out to blame mental decline for his poor behavior, a total cop out.

Trump was incredibly lucid in his first conference after his rigged senate trial. Trump is almost always focused and sober when he's talking about his alleged criminal wrong doing. You see this time and time again throughout his life. He is a completely different Trump in deposition tapes and as a trial witness. This shows he's just a stupid criminal jerk who's smart enough to shut up and get serious when he's in potential trouble.

All the rambling and spitballing he does when discussing government business is because he's unprepared and doesn't care. He doesn't care about policies. He cares about stuffing his pockets and getting away with it.

This isn't even true. Trump does not have the most followed account on Facebook or Twitter. Trump just lies like nothing.

He's always been stupid, full of bluster, lightweight on actual policy, and all about projection of power and "being tough" because everybody is "taking advantage of us".

Listen to his stupidity in this 1987 interview with Larry King. Of course he was sharper with his language because it was 1987 but all the hallmarks of his are there: the garbage ideas, the dog ate my homework answers, name-calling, casting enemies, issuing idle threats, America is going bust...

He's always been an idiot whisperer. If you can hear this 1987 interview and not recognize it as babble, you're a fool. Listen to how much more intelligent the majority of callers are versus Trump's "i have many friends" "people are saying" "they're laughing at us" spiel.

A stupid, bullying narcissist can do the job, very poorly. We may be at a point where Mr. Trump cannot do the job at all.

If Trump is losing his marbles I would be more relieved than if he was not. Because Trump is not a normal person or President it would actually be better, he'd be less dangerous than if he had his full faculty. I would however be very disappointed and alarmed at the systematic failures in government that are supposed to safeguard against this. However looking at his policy directives and how clear and lucid he is whenever something is about his own dealings and corruptions, I remain skeptical about the armchair diagnosis of his mental facilities.

Didn't Trump say some similarly baffling word-salad a few years ago, about toilets or something? He seems to be fascinated by water-based appliances. I wish he would have just become a plumber instead of the frigging President. Though if his presidency is anything to go by, he would probably also be bad at that profession.

Trump says people are 'flushing toilets 10, 15 times' in call for better water standards

“You can’t wash your hands practically, there’s so little water comes out of the faucet, and the end result is you leave the faucet on and it takes you much longer to wash your hands, you end up using the same amount of water,” he said at an event with small-business owners at the White House.

He also hates energy saving lightbulbs which have become standard and I thought conservatives were already over this debate but guess not.

But again this has nothing to do with Trump's supposed mental decline. When he was in Real Estate in NYC he hated Asbestos removal and if you think well that's expensive of course he would be, he also lobbied for continued Asbestos because he thought it was amazing.

President Trump’s long-time love affair with asbestos is making its way into federal policy

It's a small thing amid all the fractal horrors of government by Donald Trump, yet its says a lot.
