Looks like Gade is running for office again. Perhaps for Governor, or another statewide office in 2021?

So I guess Gade isn't running for Governor:

What do folks think about the claim that Youngkin was the GOP establishment’s favored candidate? Did establishment groups prefer Youngkin over Snyder?

Even if they preferred Youngkin over Snyder, it seemed that Kirk Cox was the most “establishment” candidate, given his long legislative career and list of endorsements.

Lee Carter is losing his House primary too.

Wait, candidates in Virginia can run for two offices at once? Carter is allowed to run for Governor and reelection at the same time? I didn't realize that.

Apparently so.  Looks like Rasoul is also running for re-election to his HOD seat (he’s uncontested).

I just looked it up, I guess Mark Levine and Jay Jones are also running for reelection to the House of Delegates. That's interesting.

Does anyone have a sense for who may be favored in Senate District 33? Both Jennifer Carrol Foy and Hala Ayala ran statewide in 2021 and seem like rising stars in the party, so I’m curious who will win.

Interesting that Northam’s endorsement is now coveted. Spanberger herself called for his resignation (as did almost every VA Democrat):
