Gravel was probably better as an eccentric presidential candidate than as a Senator. I vote for Lisa Murkowski due to the write-in campaign (one of my favourite moments since I started following U.S. politics).

Atlas as a whole tends to prefer moderate Republicans over progressive Democrats. It's why Phil Scott (& Liz Cheney for a brief period of time) was relatively popular on here compared to other Dem-leaning sites.

I watched the nominating speeches for VP in 1972 and was rooting for Mike Gravel, the man who read the Pentagon Papers into the Congressional Record.
