Trash. I want to say he might be slightly better than Specter but Jeffords switch cost us more for a brief period of time.

His switch was one of the first major political events during the beginning of my political life. I'll never forget it.

Switching parties to change Senate leadership mid-stream was a pretty devious move though.

Torie, isn't this quite literally the case now?  It was my understanding that, in the last few years, he has taken ill.  I haven't any inside information.  It's one of those things I thought I heard...

That is correct I think. I think he has Alzheimers (sp) if I had to guess. But he always had to struggle a bit to handle his job.
