Bushie, have you ever Bible studied the Prodigal Son?

What does you church group teach is the meaning of that story?

i bet that earlier this week bushie was whining to his boss about the prospects of wintry weather today.  his boss just told him to stay home...one less person to pay.

by the way, temps were near 40 in the okc today.  doubtful that the roads were like skating rinks.

Today definitely surprised everybody.  The temperature rose a lot faster than expected this morning.  My boss gave everybody the day off also as a nice gesture since it will be our last chance to use this liberal leave policy for a long time.  We've got work start to flow in with deadlines not too far away.  Everything we had could wait until Monday, but it can't wait any longer.  The liberal leave policy he's held the past two months will likely come to a screeching halt come Monday.  The next company holiday is Memorial Day, nearly 5 months away.

Wow, are you ready for twenty 40 hour work weeks in a row? Do you actually expect to survive that?

Today on the radio I heard about a guy who was inspired to lose weight when he was incarcerated and told by prison doctors that given his weight and sedentary lifestyle, he'd probably be dead within 5 years if he didn't change his ways. He was in his early 30s, 5' 8" and 230 pounds.

If that guy was 5 years from Death's doorstep, where does that leave Jeff?

So, Bushie has purged FB of all except those who support his stupid decisions. What a shock. The IT version of sticking your head in the sand. My goodness, Bushie is actually good at something. Actually, it's just an extension of his self-destruction.

Carry on.

Unless there are other contributing factors, 5'8 and 230 is hardly 5 years away from death for a guy in his early 30s. Probably 20%of Americans have an equivalent BMI. It's certainly not a healthy weight, but it's not even that severe a case of obesity.

I should definitely have 2 months left of this work contract, but the question marks linger for March.  Right now, it is looking like the contract will end between February 27 and March 13.  If the contract does end before March 20, then I will return to Tulsa.  I have until the end of March to make my decision on whether to extend the apartment lease.  If the contract ends after March 20, then I will finish up the Tulsa apartment lease in May and move down to an apartment in Oklahoma City.  There is still the possibility of being put on another contract going into the Spring and Summer, but that is even less of a certainty.  My boss likes what he sees out of all six of us and has no worries, so that's a good sign, but still employment beyond February has a huge question mark.  It is very possible I may be starting the second half of my contract on Monday.

I can hear the awesome clueless convo now.

Boss: "You know what, Jeff, if you hate being here so much why don't you just not come in at all!"
Jeff: "Wow! Thanks Boss! You are the best!"

I think I've posted this before (and when he was at a different job!), but Bushie's interactions with his bosses always remind me of this joke.

I, for one, support Bushie's right to live a destructive parasitic lifestyle while simultaneously deluding himself into thinking he's doing the Lord's work. This is America, after all:
