the oil thing was over-blown in the past and at this point it is nothing more than a joke.

the US doesn't need any middle east ressources at all, afaik.

You are deeply ignorant if you believe oil and money has nothing to do with this war.

Yep, wars have always been for:

1) Power
2) Money
3) Resources
4) Religion
5) In a distant past, women

I know there have to be examples of humanitarian wars, but I can't really think of any off the top of my head. They certainly aren't in the majority.

According to this YouGov poll, 51% of Americans approved of the airstrikes.

Crosstabs are kinda interesting:

Total: 26% strongly support, 25% somewhat support, 16% somewhat oppose, 16% strongly oppose

Democrats: 12% strongly support, 31% somewhat support, 21% somewhat oppose, 20% strongly oppose

Republicans: 54% strongly support, 26% somewhat support, 10% somewhat oppose, 4% strongly oppose

Independents: 22% strongly support, 21% somewhat support, 10% somewhat oppose, 4% strongly oppose

The olds also support this way more than every other age demographic, which isn't surprising.

For those who think Obama wimped out on Syria, I just watched this 5 minute video from 2016 where Obama explains his position on Syria in great detail.

He makes ultimate sense here, and I was thinking to myself, I KNOW Trump doesn't have the ability to understand the situation there in all its nuances like Obama was able to articulate. I miss having an intelligent President.

we know that obama made a deal with iran to protect his nuclear deal.

you can make your own assumptions, if this was worth it.
