Major HP.
I don't even get the hype, which is primarily a media thing. Dude has accomplished little other than triggering Dems. I guess that's why some GOPers like him.
Considering Trump accomplished almost nothing other than triggering Dems, and the GOP literally didn’t even have a platform in 2020 beyond owning the libs, yeah that’d be it.
Policy wise this isn’t true :
- We passed the most sweeping tax reform bill since 1986
- Trump gutted federal agencies regulatory powers with him requiring them to remove 2 regulations every time they implement a new one
- Replaced Dodd Frank
- Replaced NAFTA with USCMA
- Redefined our relationship with China
- Stay in Mexico Policy when it comes to immigration
- Middle Eastern Nation Treaties
Sure most of these were through executive action but that is more due to the senate 60 vote rule
“Most sweeping tax reform” = Most sweeping tax break for the ultra rich 1%
Not really given it cut individual rates by a lesser amount than the Bush tax rates . Also the tax bill had many provisions that benefited average people such as:
- Doubling the Child Tax Credit
- Doubled the Standard Deduction
- Allowing Small Business Owners to deduct up to 20% of their Qualified Business Income . The deduction phases out as well so this mostly helps the middle class across the board
The only part I didnt like was Paul Ryan's Border Adjustment Tax wasnt included in the final bill but otherwise it was a great bill(I agree with the corporate tax cuts as well)
So, you supported massively increasing the budget deficit before now claiming that you oppose it.
