Aye

If we are going to regulate restrictions on alcohol sales, it only makes sense and is consistent to regulate restrictions being placed on sale of all legal products.

You're setting a dangerous precedent by giving in to these antics, I fear Sad

Perhaps. But I'm having a hard time thinking of any logical reason for this bill to include alcohol while excluding tobacco and legal recreational drugs, and I don't like voting nay if I can't think of a good reason to do so.

I don't think the drugs are legal, just decriminalized.

If the Wiki is up to date, it looks like they are legal. So my aye vote still stands.

Abstain

I don't see why alcohol would be treated any differently from the other drugs mentioned, but I'm not convinced we need to be dictating to municipalities on this issue in any case.

It is health reasons for me, though I would at least be OK with adding cigarettes and marijuana. Regardless, I plan to vote for this when it reaches a final vote, though I'm less than thrilled with what looks to be the final version.

For the sake of speeding things up (shocker, people still care about this), I am withdrawing my amendment.

Are any of those other drugs more of a health problem than tobacco and alcohol?

No, because aside from tobacco and alcohol, the drugs we have chosen to legalize do not create dependence.
