Sometimes I'm starting to think human kind gets dumber rather than more educated. At least a certain segment of societies in America and Europe. QAnon, Chemtrails, Flatearthers, "Covid is a fake", these people really lack sanity. But of course, it's just a sign of time where each idiot can sh*tpost stuff on the internet and make stuff up while with no check whatsoever. And if there is a check, it gets attacked as censorship.
In my experience, the Flynn effect is very real, and the issue stems from a segment of the population that would've been long dead were it not for medical advancements and social welfare programs. This is the danger of allowing a gerontocracy to take root. Donald Trump is a moron, but he's also suffered significant cognitive decline. As has Joe Biden, Diane Feinstein, the late RBG, etc.
