2020 election: The ticket of Senator Barack Obama and House Minority Leader Stephanie Herseth Sandlin defeats Vice President Marco Rubio and Senator Rob Portman after the unpopular President Mitt Romney finishes his second term.

Evan Bayh/Joe Manchin vs. Rick Scott/Chris Sununu if it's modern, but if it can be from another time period I'd say Bill Clinton/Dick Gephardt vs George Deukmejian/Paul Trible.

Clinton/Heitkamp vs. Kirk/Republican Cory Booker vs. a liberal third party who gets Bernie's endorsement.

The 2016 Election:
Bernie Sanders runs as an independent.
Jon Huntsman Jr. runs as an independent too and splits the Utah vote?
Donald Trump picks Susan Collins or another Maine Republican as VP.
