2 years later they took congress. 2 years later they elected the first black President, who won with the biggest margin in 20 years.

Yes, but they didn't get to implement any policies that would be different from the Republicans.  It is the Democrats which are dead, and have been for 30 years.

Well according to the demographic predictions that is precisely what they are going to do, very gradually.
