As we all know, the 2024 Presidential Election is well underway with Former President Trump having easily ran away with the nomination of his party for a third time (the first person to be nominated by the same party in a row since Grover Cleveland (Nominated and won in 1884, Nominated and lost in 1888, Nominated and won in 1892)) and already, people are arguing bitterly over who will win, with Democrats saying the polling that shows Trump is in the lead is fake and that he will lose while Republicans insist that Biden is too unpopular to win re-election. There are a plethora of TLs about 2024, so I wanted to do something new, I wanted to do a 2028 Timeline that took place in the aftermath of a second Biden Term (I’m not saying Biden wins or loses, but a second Biden term will be interesting for the purposes of this TL).

Source : Made by a Friend, Posted on Imgur

Thus, this TL will go over the Presidential Election of 2028 from what is likely the day the Iowa Caucuses occur in 2028 (as I don’t want to cover the messy stuff of the 2027 period) but I will write out the background of 2024-2028, laying out who got elected where, who is the Speaker, what the current geopolitical, domestic, and economic climate is, etc etc. This TL will cover the story of Senator J. D. Vance of Ohio and his rise to the Presidency while his opponents see their political careers either fizzle out or grow brighter. Will this timeline be realistic? No, not 100 %. I cannot predict the future after all, none of us can, and the less realistic timelines are the fun ones to write, and that’s what writing stuff like this is about, fun, not having squabbles over what is realistic and what isn’t (especially when I see TLs that have Democrats doing extraordinarily well just cause or same with Republicans and it is claimed to be “Realistic” so please, don’t try to start arguments. So with that out of the way, let’s look at one last major concern.

Yes, this TL will take inspiration (and a lot of it) from UWS’ wonderful TL “Iowa is Rubio Country”, but only a little, mainly because this is more of a Future TL then a direct alternate history (unless Trump winds up winning this year, which will make this TL retroactively alternate history). Now, with the introduction out of the way, let’s begin the show.

The 2024 Election cycle is forever seen as the craziest cycle and the last election of the sixth party system (though others view it as the seventh party system’s first election). The election cycle began after a stressful year for the Republican Party in 2023, with Speaker Kevin McCarthy being ousted by several members of his party, led by Matt Gaetz, and the Democrats, and the party losing the Gubernatorial Election of Kentucky while flipping the Governorship of Louisiana and barely holding on in Mississippi all while Former President Donald John Trump Sr. of Florida was being prosecuted and charged with crimes of treason and other ideas in what many today view as highly partisan moves (this is the view of the broader public, not the historians, who see it as more nuanced than that) and the chairwoman of the party, Ronna Romney McDaniel, faced severely harsh criticism for what occurred in the elections of that year.

When 2024 finally came around, the Republican Party started off weak and ineffective with members resigning early in protest of McCarthy’s removal from the Speakership, the party frontrunner still being prosecuted by multiple states and the federal government, and the relative incompetence and lack of funds for the national GOP due to the failure of Ronna Romney McDaniel in her fundraising and outreach efforts. Then, following McDaniel’s retirement, it seemed things would be looking up for the GOP as she would be replaced by Michael Whatley, lara Trump, and Chris LaCivita as the Chairs and COO of the Party and soon, they raked in hundreds of millions for the party, which they began to use to fund the party and Trump’s campaign while Trump himself signed off on a deal about Truth Social that netted him over $7 Billion in Net Worth on the stock market and growing, and finally Nikki Haley would withdrawal from the race following Super Tuesday, leading to Trump becoming the Nominee though it was never in doubt. Meanwhile, the Democrats were being torn in twain, as the Israel-Gaza conflict erupted serious tensions between the Pro-Israel Establishment wing of the Party and the Pro-Gaza Progressive Left wing of the Party that was far more intersectional, and that especially showed in states with heavy arab or minority populations where uncommitted garnered enough support for some delegates at the National Convention.

However, then came April, where the Speaker that had succeeded McCarthy, Mike Johnson, made five fatal flaws that would ultimately cost him the Speakership : 1) Pushing for the FISA extension that earned him the ire of the House Freedom Caucus, 2) Passing Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwanese Aid with little to nothing for the border, 3) threatening Representative Thomas Massie after he posted a video of members of Congress waving Ukrainian Flags following the passage of the Aid bill, 4) attending a fundraiser for Tony Gonzalez of Texas who called Matt Gaetz a pedophile and Brandon Herrera, his primary opponent and a hispanic guntuber who held libertarian beliefs, a neo-nazi, and finally 5) a leaked audio message on the 28th where he said he hoped Donald Trump lost so the party could rid themselves of him. On the 29th, he would be ousted by a vote with all of the House Freedom Caucus and the Democrats voting in favor of the ousting, which would see Representatives Steve Womack of Arkansas’ 3rd, Carlos Gimenez of Florida’s 28th, Mike Simpson of Idaho’s 2nd, Mike Lawler of New York’s 17th, and Mike Kelly of Pennsylvania’s 16th Congressional Districts, meaning that now the Democrats had a slim House Majority of 213 to 212 Republicans. As the chaos in the House of Representatives began, Donald Trump’s own legal troubles began as he went to court for a hush money trial with the judge stating that if he went to attend his son’s Barron’s graduation, he would be held in contempt of court and be arrested and also issued a gag order on him to silence him and several other trials would begin to mount up against the former President in month’s long trials that would take up a major chunk of his time, though he used it by campaigning and touring New York City, going to various shops, bodegas, and various other areas and ingratiating himself with voters, creating a massive sense of support by the people of the city and in May, he would go against the wishes of the Judge and attend Barron’s graduation and despite the warning, he would not be arrested, with later reports from the judge being stated that he felt he would accidentally make Trump sympathetic to the American people if he did so.

As Trump battled the courts, the House Speakership Election in April began with the House Democrats being a united front and nominating Hakeem Jeffries for the Speakership while the Republicans became extremely split on their nominee, with the more anti-MAGA representatives, such as Don Bacon of Nebraska, Tony Gonzalez of Texas, and Jen Kiggans of Virginia backing for the Speakership Chris Smith of New Jersey, the Freedom Caucus backing Andy Biggs of Arizona, and the rest of the party backing Tom Emmer despite Trump making his dislike of the man rather clear on numerous occasions. Multiple Republicans, deciding it was time to stand up to the nonsense of the House Freedom Caucus, would decide to vote for Hakeem Jeffries in the Speakership election to get him past the needed 218 to win the Speakership, being 227 for Jefferies (the 13 Republicans who voted for Jeffries was Mike Rogers and Robert Aderholt of Alabama, Rick Crawford and French Hill of Arkansas, Doug Lamalfa and Tom McClintock of California, Mike Bost and Darin LaHood of Illinois, Mariannette Miller-Meeks of Iowa, Andy Barr of Kentucky, Michael Guest of Mississippi, and Kay Granger and Tony Gonzalez of Texas while the House Freedom Caucus voted for Biggs and the rest of the Party voted for Emmer. And with that, Jeffries won the Speakership, a position he hoped to hold for as long as possible while the Republican Party became effectively leadership as by the middle of May, a massive wave of early resignations occurred in fury of the party ousting Johnson and causing Jeffries to obtain the Speakership (the final tally was 227 Jeffries, 153 for Emmer, and 55 for Biggs) as people went after the representatives that Trump blamed (the establishment, as he said the people who voted for Biggs were “America’s truest patriots in that chamber”) for Jeffries and they decided to show their disdain for what had occurred, sadness over no longer having the majority, or disillusionment with Congress and the final straw was when the Party decided for their leader going forward, with 91 members of the Party backing Emmer and 121 backing Kevin Hern of Oklahoma, who stated he would only serve in the spot until the party was restored to its prior glory in January. The representatives that retired would be Mike Rogers, Robert Aderholt, David Schweikert, Rick Crawford, French Hill, Bruce Westerman, Doug LaMalfa, Tom McClintock, David Valadao, Ken Calvert, Darrell Issa, Neal Dunn, John Rutherford, Michael Waltz, Daniel Webster, Gus Bilirakis, Brian Mast, Mario Diaz-Balart, Maria Elvira Salazar, Carlos Gimenez, Buddy Carter, Barry Loudermilk, Rick Allen, Mike Simpson, Mike Bost, Darin LaHood, Jim Baird, Ron Estes, James Comer, Brett Guthrie, Hal Rogers, Andy Barr, Steve Scalise, Mike Johnson, Garret Graves, Jack Bergman, John Moolenaar, Bill Huizenga, Tim Walberg, Tom Emmer, Pete Stauber, Trent Kelly, Michael Guest, Ann Wagner, Sam Graves, Jason Smith, Adrian Smith, Mark Amodei, Chris Smith, Claudia Tenney, Virginia Foxx, David Rouzer, Bob Latta, Mike Turner, Troy Balderson, David Joyce, Frank Lucas, Tom Cole, Brian Fitzpatrick, Dan Meuser, Lloyd Smucker of Pennsylvania, Guy Reschenthaler, Glenn Thompson, Mike Kelly, Joe Wilson, Dusty Johnson, John Rose, David Kustoff, Lance Gooden, Michael McCaul, Randy Weber, Pete Sessions, Jodey Arrington, Roger Williams, John Carter, Brian Babin, Rob Wittman, Dan Newhouse, Carol Miller, Bryan Steil, and Glenn Grothman, bringing the GOP seat count from 212 to 131 House Seats by losing 82 Seats in one wave of resignations. Very quickly, Matt Gaetz would get in contact with Trump, along with Marjorie Taylor Greene and begin to influence him on House Endorsements going forward, with him giving an anti-endorsement of Gonzelez and rescinding his endorsements of William Timmons and Abe Hamadeh and from there, he would continue to make endorsements that aligned with both the House Freedom Caucus and the Club for Growth.

States that had already had a primary with the incumbent being renominated would instead look at the primary opponents of those who had resigned and, with support from Trump, picking them for the House Seat as the Incumbents withdrew. And of these new candidates, many of them announced they would join the House Freedom Caucus if/when they won the election in November. Meanwhile, Trump would continue to go on the warpath against members of Congress who openly opposed his agenda with guidance from Gaetz and other members of the House Freedom Caucus that he trusted.

As the Republicans fought a bitter civil war for control over the party, the Democrats began to witness their own mini civil war over a TikTok Ban and aid for Israel as tensions against Biden ramped up along with protests. These two battles would converge as the Republicans held a celebratory inauguration of Trump at the 2024 Republican National Convention while the Democrats saw chaos and protests against Biden, with even rioting and violence against police at their own convention. And at the same time, Trump would announce that he would select Marco Rubio to be his running mate, a risky move as it would’ve potentially meant Florida’s electoral votes would be axed out of the equation until Rubio announced his resignation from the Senate and his moving to Nevada to ensure the ticket wouldn’t lose Florida’s electoral votes in the election. Ron DeSantis, when setting the Special Election, would appoint his wife Casey to sit in as interim Senator while Trump himself successfully encouraged Congressman Byron Donalds to run for the Senate Seat, with his main hope being to prevent a drawn out primary battle for the 2026 Governorship election in Florida.

For the rest of the campaign, there would be attacks aplenty, with President Biden calling Trump unfit for the office of the Presidency and a danger to the nation, a felon who should be locked up, someone abolishing the rights for women to choose if they want to have a family, and even, at one point, a Hitler in the making. Trump, meanwhile, attacked Biden on immigration, continuously bringing up the deaths of civilians at the hands of illegal aliens, the floundering economy, the constant foreign aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan, the rocketing food and gas prices, and the scandals the Biden presidency had suffered. As the Presidential Tickets battled it out, the Democrats attacked the Republican Party, still engaged in its civil war, the party of chaos while the Republicans branded the Democrats the party of Inflation, Infanticide, and Illegals (the three Is strategy) and tied themselves to Trump while the Democrats tried to distance themselves from the unpopular President.

When the final results came in, it was expected to be a landslide for Trump. After all, Trump attended all three debates personally while Biden refused to “debate someone who openly posed a threat to democracy”, giving the former President an hour and a half to openly speak his campaign ideas without interruption and he had not been convicted in any of his trials, so both independents and republicans were broadly on his side. In the end, though, that wouldn’t be enough. Well the former President would flip the states of Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada, he would lose the three key states by extremely narrow vote margins (he lost Michigan by 9,793, Pennsylvania by 3,975, and Wisconsin by 197), margins that made everyone believe that something suspicious had occurred and recounts showed bare Biden wins but with the numbers growing even less. After three full recounts, MI was declared for Biden by 1,159, PA was declared for Biden by 523, and Wisconsin by 7 votes. This meant that Trump had lost the election by 1,689 votes across three states and Nebraska’s 2nd District had proved to be a key factor in denying Trump the presidency. However, that is not to say Trump had a wonderful night, as he had done what hadn’t been achieved in twenty years, win the national popular vote and by a decent margin, as Biden won 41.7 %, Trump would win 50.9 % with a lot of the left wing vote going to Stein, West, or Kennedy in many states, with the biggest surprises being California. Which went to Biden by 9 (51-42), New York, which went to Biden by 5 (49-44), and New Jersey, which went to Biden by 3 (49-46). Meanwhile, the Downballot saw great Republican success as they regained the House and Senate, largely off of Trump’s coattails with the only real losses being in as they gained 10 Senate Seats and 78 House Seats along with a massive tidal wave of more conservative Representatives and Senators who would vote for the ideas of President Trump and America First, much to the chagrin of individuals like Mitch McConnell and John Thune.

With Trump’s extremely narrow defeat in the election and Republicans retaking both chambers of Congress and winning surprise victories in districts and states that were unexpected, along with the former President winning the National Popular Vote by 9.2 % due to overperformances in normally safe Democrat States and solidifying control in multiple Republican States, it was to be expected that the Republicans would once again cry fowl, with there being outright calls for a final Wisconsin recount due to the vote margin being just a measly seven votes, which many Trump lawyers believed would become a Trump victory with one final recount. Of course, the Wisconsin Secretary of State certified the result the day the third recount ended and thus, it was an over and done issue. Almost immediately, the Republican Party once again fractured as the remaining anti-MAGA Republicans in the House and those in the Senate called for Trump to concede the race and congratulate Biden on his victory while the MAGA elements of the party called for the Supreme Court to get involved on the behalf of Trump. On December 21st, the Supreme Court would get involved but would ultimately rule in a surprising 7-2 against Trump, with the only two voting in favor being Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito.

With Trump v Wisconsin settled law, many of the old establishment of both parties hoped the beast of Trump and his movement had been slain. Trump, instead, called for more protests and for the electors to be objected to and many more Americans showed up to protest than before. On January 3rd, the Republican Party would unite behind Trump’s endorsed pick for the Speakership, House Freedom Caucus member Mark Edward Green of Tennessee, the first Tennessean to hold the position since Jo Byrns in June of 1936. Three days later, the electors were counted as a pro-Trump protest erupted outside and various members of the House and Senate objected to the electors of Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, citing how close the election was, the various reports of election fraud that had come from verifiable sources and videos taken, the rushed process of the Wisconsin recounts, and many other issues. However, in the end, on the 9th, Biden was confirmed as President by the Electoral College and Harris his Vice President. On the 11th, Trump announced that he would not run in the 2028 Presidential Election but would move against the establishment outright in future cycles going forward and that he was proud of his supporters for not being goaded into violent action and that many learned from their mistakes just four years prior. Four days later, Senate Majority Leader John Thune of South Dakota stood with a bunch of his Senate and House Allies and told the former President to bring it on.

It was unknown to both men how wild the incoming four years would be as Biden dealt with a Republican Majority in the Senate and a Republican Supermajority in the House, but America would never be the same, especially after what became known as Black Wednesday in mid 2025.

With the new members of Congress that came in as a result of the 2024 Elections, President Biden announced that he would not be replacing any members of his cabinet, wanting to continue a stability of government doctrine while privately many believed that if the cabinet had any vacant slots, the Republican Controlled Senate would ensure that there would be no confirmation votes. As this went on, both parties in Congress created new Congressional Leadership as Mark Green focused on creating a new leadership that was effectively barebones and deciding how to give out Committee chairships and positions as Thune did the same. Meanwhile, Hakeem Jeffries, who was Speaker for only a few months, went about crafting a new House Leadership for his party while Chuck Schumer made an announcement that he would not run for re-election in 2028 and Dick Durbin followed that up with his own announcement that he was not running in 2026, with them willingly stepping down from Senate Leadership for their party.

When the final leadership of the House Majority came in, the worst fears of Establishment Republicans had been realized as Speaker Green had filled it with House Freedom Caucus members except for one position, Assistant Republican Leader, which was given to former House Minority and Interim Republican House Leader Leader Kevin Hern, to help the new Speaker settle into his role. On January 23rd, Speaker Green made an announcement to the public surrounded by what is called the Freedom Leadership Team in which he stated “For the last three years, we have been continuously fiscally irresponsible and have allowed this administration to ignore the border to fund its corrupt friends in the government in a country fighting a war that they will lose in any situation, funding what can be best stated as a war that is trying to drag us back into the Middle East after leaving it, and funding an island when these people don’t know how truly difficult amphibious and aerial invasions are. Thus, today, I am announcing that the House Majority, the Freedom Majority, will stand with the American people which voted for the Republican Party en masse in November in a race that was, in truth, most certainly stolen from the former President and will vote down against any proposal of Ukraine Aid, it will give Israel one final aid package and then that will be it, and finally, Taiwan aid will be the fifth focus of this House Majority as our first focus will be on getting a hand on our nation’s border crisis that sees thugs, rapists, and murderers invade our nation at an alarming rate, our second focus will be to repair and rebuild our nation’s crumbling infrastructure, our third focus will be curtailing the nation’s crime wave and putting an end to it, and our fourth focus will be to getting a hand on the nation’s incoming welfare and economic crisis and getting a serious hand on it before something awful happened.

After this announcement, the President, Senate Majority and Minority Leaders, and House Minority Leaders wanted to test how much control Green had over his party and moved to put in Ukraine Aid, Israel, and Taiwan Aid into a $117.9B Aid Package and combined it with a border financing bill and Infrastructure package with $51.5B to Ukraine, $37.9B to Israel, $27.3B to Taiwan, $750M for Infrastructure, and $450M for the Border. The hope was because of infrastructure, Taiwan, the Border, and Israel cash being tied to it, Speaker Green would pass it and thus betray his January 23rd promise, leaving him open to be vacated and replaced by someone more establishment friendly. However, the Speaker stood his ground and called it “the biggest financial scam in American congressional history.” and whipped up the party to vote against it. When the vote for it came on February 5th, the Massive Finance Package was voted down by the House with 275 Nays and 160 Ayes, with every Nay vote being a Republican and the Democrats being joined by 24 Republicans, including Texas Congressman Dan Crenshaw who famously declared after the vote “The house is being ran by Putin Sympathizers, Nazis, Pedophiles, Thugs, and, frankly, incredibly stupid people.” when he was joined by members of Congress that were aligned with his ideas behind him.

Following the voting down of the massive funding bill, Mark Green went on to craft five new bills with the help of House Leadership, with the first piece of legislation being the Immigration Control Act of 2025 that would give around $57.9B to financing Border Control and constructing a wall on the border with Mexico, tightening border restrictions and security, establish a immigration moratorium for fifteen years, and ramp up deportations to an extreme level to effectively deal with the crisis. It would be passed with 299 Aye, 136 Nay. However, when it reached the House, it faced serious Democratic and Establishment opposition including the Senate Majority Leader, who vowed to whip up votes against it. Despite this, Senator J. D. Vance became a leading voice for it and was able to get it passed in the Senate with 53 Votes for Aye and 47 Votes for Nay. Despite this, President Biden vetoed the legislation, calling unjust and inhumane and saying “The Republican Party is the party of Demagoguery, Putin, and Racism” and even claiming in a speech to black supporters in Virginia that the Republican Party was aiming to “Put Y'all back in chains!”, referencing Slavery, which led to him being attacked by all aspects of the leadership of the party. The next bill that Speaker Green brought up to a vote was Infrastructure, where he placed $39.5B in funding to fix up the nation’s crumbling infrastructure and this one would face little opposition as the sole purpose of the bill was to create much better and saner regulations, rebuild and improve roads and bridges, and clean up the nation’s parks. With that having easily passed, the Speaker then moved on to attempting to curtail the nation’s crime wave, funding the construction of dozens of new prisons, subpoenaing dozens of district attorneys across the nation, and mass funding police departments nationwide and the bill faced Democratic Opposition, passing both chambers of Congress with relative ease but again being vetoed by the President. In March, after fighting continuous battles with the President over Immigration and Crime, the Speaker was able to make a compromise that made the President agree to sign the bill. A major funding bill that would combine Crime and Immigration with Israel and Taiwan aid. That Immigration and Crime parts were what was passed by the House earlier in the year while Israel would see $27.3B in aid and Taiwan would see $9.7B in aid (the crime portion would be $35.1B, making the total funding package in March be a total of $130B with the vast majority of it being focused on domestic issues rather than foreign aid. Following its passing, Speaker Green held a press conference where he declared that he was overjoyed at the passing at the compromise and stated that “This is how divided government functions, how compromise is done, when two opposing sides come to some kind of agreement and both leave with relatively equal things, not when one side gives the other everything it wants.” However, for Biden, as May approached, his troubles were going to get far, far worse.

Speaker Green’s Press Conference after the passing of his Compromise with President Biden

When May came, the yearly debate over the debt ceiling came with it and the Republicans came in with three main goals for their negotiations, which they made very transparent to the public in the weeks leading up to the negotiations : 1) Welfare Reform by creating work requirements for it and a greater reform of Social Security to protect it from serious harm in the future without scraping it entirely; 2) a mass defunding of the Department of Justice for attempting to prosecute and even successfully (in some cases) prosecuting its political opponents; & 3) Funding for a massive voter security plan to ensure no situation like 2024 ever happens again. Biden, of course, refused to hear them out and consistently pushed for more and more funding on social and welfare programs and a major Ukraine aid bill. Both the Speaker and President refused to see eye to eye on the crisis as the Senate Majority Leader watched the two argue for their side and even suggested a compromise at one point, which Biden fervently refused. Later leaked to the press would be an audio recording of that meeting where the President called the Speaker “A dumb sack of s--t that is more loyal to a wannabe dictator than the Constitution!” and the Senate Majority Leader “A spineless cretin that is looking to do what benefits his career more than what benefits America!”. Thune then tried to convince the Speaker to just give in to Biden’s demands and give up his three proposals, which he refused and said reportedly “I made a promise, an iron-clad Tennessee promise, with those three things in mind. I will not break my word.” Thus, all three parties left without a compromise and no further meetings or negotiations were held going further. After two months of the Debt Ceiling crisis continuing and polling showing that they backed Speaker Green’s Proposals over Biden 53-43-4, Biden made a move that would become infamous and pushed for the Treasury to mint the long proposed Trillion Dollar Coin. After initial pushback by Secretary Yellen, eventually the Department of the Treasury relented and minted the coin. However, the effects immediately became disastrous as the Federal Reserve decided against selling some of its huge portfolio in the debt, meaning its effects would not be sterilized, due to them perceiving it as the President playing partisan games with the nation’s finances. The day the coin was minted, known today as Black Wednesday on July 16th, 2025, would see almost immediate effects as the United States dollar suffered severe inflation and this would quickly trickle to the Stock Market that saw an absolutely disastrous hit to the DOW Average as it fell by 17 % and the effects of this was soon felt globally as the economies of other nations was soon hit by the sudden economic pressure, though a few countries, such as Javier Millei’s Argentina, Nayib Bukele’s El Salvador, Vladimir Putin’s Russia, Victor Orban’s Hungary, and Yoon Suk Yeol’s South Korea, avoided the brunt of the disaster and would soon recover in short order as the rest of the world economically, financially, and in some instances, quite literally, collapsed almost overnight as the world entered a new economic depression that likes of which the world had never seen as thousands of American businesses and industries laid off workers to try and make ends meet or declared bankruptcy with what little they had and the Social Security and Welfare programs caused the nation to severely see a failure in its economy.

The result of this was immediate, as the Republicans blamed President Biden and the Democrats for the crisis, insisting it was almost solely on his hands for what had happened and with a fierce media blitz, the polling showed that the public agreed, with 13 % saying the Republicans were responsible for the Economic Disaster to 75 % saying the Democrats were responsible and 12 % not knowing or undecided while 9 % perceived Mark Green as the cause to John Thune’s 5 % and Biden’s 79 % and 7 % undecided or unsure despite the Republicans having near total control of both chambers of congress. Of course, the first major goal of this was to win in the 2025 Elections and use the effect of what was quickly being dubbed as the Hyper Depression as a cudgel against Democrats, with many Republicans saying “In 1929, Republicans caused the Great Depression, in 2025, the Democrats caused the HYPER Depression!” harkening back to the Great Depression that decimated the Republican Party for decades and how the Hyper Depression was even worse than what had occurred back then.

When the 2025 Elections finally came in with its results, it was as expected. Phil Rizzo and Jason Mirayes won the Gubernatorial Elections in New Jersey and Virginia while both the New Jersey General Assembly and Virginia House of Delegates fell under Republican control. This was followed when Josh Kraft, Kim White, James Craig, Andrea Catsimatidis, Bret Schundler, and Gary Allen pulling off surprise wins in the cities of Boston, Chattanooga, Detroit, New York City, Jersey City, and San Antonio and even worse for Democrats, as Republicans gained a majority of 35 Seats on the New York City Council and gained New York City’s Public Advocate, Comptroller, and all Borough Presidencies. As many analysts put it, the 2025 results were a complete disaster for the Democratic Party and was the result of what was perceived as extreme weakness from the President as he tried to fix the economic crisis the nation, and the world, was going through. With John Thune uninterested in talking about how to fix it, Ohio Senator J. D. Vance, Missouri Senator Josh Hawley, Arizona Senator Kari Lake, Virginia Senator Scott Parkinson, Indiana Senator Jim Banks, West Virginia Alex Mooney, Wisconsin Senator Eric Hovde, Ohio Senator Bernie Moreno, Republican National Committee Co-Chairs Lara Trump and Michael Whatley, and Speaker Green met on December 15th and began to discuss with Former President Trump and former Fox News Host Tucker Carlson to create a plan that the America First movement could use to leverage for a large victory with a massive plan to better the lives of the American citizen at home and use in ads and campaigns nationwide with the main focus being a Maternal Basic Income to encourage the nation’s birthrate and cause a boom in the Housing Market, devaluing the Dollar and bring in Millei style shock measures to halt inflation that skyrocketed, a mass construction program for both the border wall with Mexico, super prisons to house criminals, cartels, and gangs, and construction programs for massive skyscrapers and new cities in the unsettled parts of the west as well the rebuilding and re-examination of Railroads, Airlines, Airports, Bridges, Canals, Ports, and Roads combined with a national beautification project, a mass deportation program to get rid of illegals living off of american tax dollars or taking their jobs, the implementation of mandatory E-Verify that would only be explicitly in its text be used against illegal immigrants, an immigration moratorium of 20 to 25 years, and a tip where a worker can report anonymously if their employer is illegally hiring illegal immigrants, a strict assimilation program, a promise to include work requirements into the welfare system, mass cuts to government departments that aren’t as needed as they usually would be, several bills to protect the rights of workers from Union bosses and help them act more independently, and several more moves that brought the Republican Party in a more America First friendly direction when it was announced on January 1st. On January 3rd, Senate Majority Leader John Thune and his whip Steve Daines of Montana attacked the plan, saying it wouldn’t work due to the finances not being there and that it was socialist in nature.

The 2026 Midterms would be a battle between the Republican Party, which offered reform and change as well as aid for the common citizen, and the Democrats, who really only messaged on Democracy, Abortion, and attempting to blame the Republicans for the crisis (even if they did share some of the blame for the Debt Ceiling Crisis, many historians agree it was largely the fault of Biden, not the Democratic Party, as he pushed for the trillion dollar coin against the wishes of his own party). Even more concerning was when news reached the White House in the fall that Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor fell ill and was hospitalized, a condition she would be in for months until she passed away the day after the Midterms. The Democrats then attempted to add the Supreme Court into their campaign, stating that the Republicans would block the appointment of a SCOTUS appointment for months on end, years most likely, if they held the Senate when Sotomayor died, though this was dispelled when Senate Majority Leader, against the wishes of his party, stated “I’d be interested in holding votes for whoever he nominates and will likely confirm who I believe is the best possible pick.” which caused him to get censured by the Republican Party of South Dakota and earned him the ire of the America First movement in the country and in the party itself.

On the campaign trail itself, it was clear very quickly that the Democrats would win little if any races as polling quickly showed even California was a battleground for the Governor’s seat. So, what else could the Republican Party do but go into a civil war due to the sheer size of its two majorities. This became extremely clear in three Gubernatorial and three Senate races. For Florida Governor, United States Representative Matt Gaetz ran against Florida Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nunez as it became clear that the firebrand of the party would face against someone the more establishment wing of the party hoped would be its political future. However, following the triple endorsement of Trump, DeSantis, and Green, Gaetz would win the primary despite ads being sent against him painting him in all the worst light possible 79.51-20.49 while Nikki Fried would win the Democratic Primary. For Georgia Governor, United States Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene ran against Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in a race that would determine who would be a better successful to Kemp resulting in Greene winning the primary run-off by a hair’s margin, 50.001 % to Raffensperger’s 49.999 %, after Raffensperger attacked her as a loon who could cost the Republicans the seat as well as a fringe conspiracy theorist that had no right to be involved in Georgia politics, only for Greene to come in with the support of Trump and Stacey Abrams would be nominated to challenge Greene in her third and final bid for the Governorship of Georgia. Finally, for Texas, a true battle emerged as Governor Greg Abbott, who had angered the state party over his endorsement of individuals like Anthony Gonzalez in the 2024 primaries as well as his lack to do much of substance about the border earned him a major primary challenger to the right in Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who campaigned hard on supporting the America First Agenda, crushing the left in the state of Texas, securing the border, wiping out potential voter fraud, and many other moves while Abbott campaigned hard about how the Republican Party cannot be the party of fringe lunatics, semi-left populists, and demagoguery. However, much like Gaetz, these attacks didn’t work and Abbott would witness what would become of a political career when Trump endorsed Paxton, allowing him to win 57.93 % to Abbott’s 42.07 %.

Then, there’s the Senate Races, where this divide showed itself in Arkansas, when United States Senator Tom Cotton battled Thielest and America First Candidate Jake Bequette for the Seat, with Bequette attacking the Senator on his constant votes for Ukraine and Foreign Aid and constant pressure to send more aid abroad when the money should be kept at home while Cotton attacked Bequette for wanting to create an isolationist America that would cause the same situation as the second world war. Bequette would ultimately win the primary, defeating Cotton 51-49, and would go on to face Dan Whitfield in the election. In Kentucky, despite initially planning to, Daniel Cameron decided against running to succeed McConnell and instead the race was between former United States Representative Andy Barr and State Representative Savannah Maddox, with Barr claiming that the party cannot be led by insane people who don’t understand the first thing about what’s going on while Maddox focused on tying herself to Trump and the America First Wing as closely as possible and ultimately, Maddox’s strategy won out, as she won with 67.35 to Barr’s 32.55 %. Finally, in Texas, Incumbent John Cornyn, initially considered running for a fifth term but ultimately decided against it after being censured by the state party for various votes and positions he had taken on issues like Gun Control and Amnesty and so the race became a triple headed race between five representatives, United States Representative Dan Crenshaw, who was endorsed by John Cornyn, United States Representative Jake Ellzey, who was backed by Senate Majority Leader John Thune, United States Representative Ronny Jackson, who was endorsed by Cornyn’s fellow Senator Ted Cruz, Paxton, and Trump, United States Representative Beth Van Duyne, who was endorsed by Governor Abbott, and United States Representative Wesley Hunt, who was backed by Former Texas Speaker of the House Dade Phelan. The initial primary was a bitter struggle though the clear frontrunners were Crenshaw and Jackson with Jackson having established himself as the clear choice for the right-wing and MAGA elements of the party while the other four candidates battles for the moderate and establishment vote, splitting in four different ways and allowing Jackson to become the favorite. On the day of the initial primary itself, the result was the following : 39.71 % Jackson, 17.53 % Crenshaw, 15.97 % Duyne, 11.35 % Self, 7.19 % Hunt, and 8.25 % being scattered among more minor candidates. With none of the candidates winning an outright majority, the race went to a run-off between Jackson and Crenshaw as it soon became clear where the party lines were being drawn as much of the party’s MAGA wing once more solidified itself behind Jackson while the establishment wing solidified itself behind Crenshaw, with Duyne, Self, and Hunt endorsing him. It was a bitter battle, with Crenshaw accusing Jackson of being a stooge for Vladimir Putin and a Neo-Nazi for wanting to withdraw the United States from world affairs while Jackson attacked Crenshaw for being a performative provocateur that has always done the establishment’s bidding and always harkening back to Reagan when he was criticized or outright having a fit if confronted, famously saying “Reagan is dead, he’s been dead for over twenty years, his Presidency ended thirty-seven years ago, it's time for new ideas for the party and for Texas and Daniel, you ain’t it.” Despite the back and forth, it seemed that Crenshaw would win the run-off until it was revealed that he had physically abused his ex-wife, Tara Blake, who he divorced shortly before his Senate run began, while they were married just three weeks before the primaries. With the scandal, Jackson would ultimately win the run-off, 59.37 % to Crenshaw’s 40.63 %.

These Senate and Gubernatorial Primaries showed what was occurring in the Republican Party as a whole, being the MAGA wing’s takeover of it in a hostile manner. Of course, Cotton wasn’t the only Incumbent Senator to be primaried, nor was he the only incumbent member of congress on the Republican side who was primaried as the Republicans saw only one retirement and not run for higher office, being United States Representative Brandon Herrera, who had made a single term pledge, found someone to replace him, and got him to run. The midterms campaign following the primaries saw the Democrats be forced to acknowledge an inevitable mass defeat with House Minority Leader Jeffries famously stated in an October 15th Press Conference “The Democratic Party doesn’t expect to win this year…” and this statement was made true when the Republicans would gain ten Senate Seats, 14 Governors Mansions, and 46 House Seats, creating a Republican Supermajority of 69 Senate Seats and 345 House Seats while the Democrats had 31 Senate Seats and 90 House Seats. In the ensuing aftermath, Jeffries stepped down from House Leadership and announced he would not run for re-election in 2028, allowing for Jonathan Jackson to become the new House Leader while Schatz announced he would remain in Senate Leadership and hoped he could lead the party from the darkness it was currently in. As that went on, the Republican Party would effectively purge its leadership of the Establishment wing of the party after Majority Leader Thune stated his intention to confirm one of Biden’s justices on the Supreme Court, with Senator Vance being the head of the effort. After a week, Thune was convinced to drop out of the race for his position and it went between Missouri Senator Josh Hawley and Arkansas Senator John Boozman and while the last remnants of the Anti-Trump wing put up a stubborn resistance, Hawley ultimately won and became Senate Majority Leader and would appoint in Senate Leadership and Committee Chairs Senators aligned with him before announcing there would be no confirmation votes for any of Biden’s court nominees. The new incoming Senators would be Bristol Palin of Alaska, Jake Bequette of Arkansas, Patrick Neville of Colorado, Brian Pettyjohn of Delaware, Brian Kemp of Georgia, Brian Lenney of Idaho, Blaine Wilhour of Illinois, Tim Goodwin of Iowa, Savannah Maddox of Kentucky, John Fleming of Louisiana, Eric Brakey of Maine, Tudor Dixon of Michigan, Royce White of Minnesota, Adam Rosendale of Montana, Chris Sununu of New Hampshire, Jeff Van Drew of New Jersey, Nella Domenici of New Mexico, Bo Hines of North Carolina, Nathan Dahm of Oklahoma, Aaron Regunberg of Rhode Island (the only Democrat), Ralph Norman of South Carolina, Aaron Alyward of South Dakota, Ronny Jackson of Texas, Glenn Youngkin of Virginia, and Nate Cain of West Virginia while the new Governors would be Tommy Battle of Alabama, Kelly Tshibaka of Alaska, Anthony Kern of Arizona, Mike Garcia of California, Guy Benson of Colorado, Erin Stewart of Connecticut, Matt Gaetz of Florida, Majorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, Heather Scott of Idaho, Brad Halbrook of Illinois, Matthew Whittaker of Iowa, Kris Kobach of Kansas, Garret Mason of Maine, Neil Parrott of Maryland, Geoff Diehl of Massachusetts, Perry Johnson of Michigan, Paul Gazelka of Minnesota, Gregory A. Baca of New Mexico, Lee Zeldin of New York, Warren Davidson of Ohio, Kevin Hern of Oklahoma, Christine Drazan of Oregon, Blake Filippi of Rhode Island, Alan Morgan of South Carolina, Tina Mulally of South Dakota, Glenn Jacobs of Tennessee, Ken Paxton of Texas, Timothy Ramthun of Wisconsin, and Scott Smith of Wyoming.

With the largest majorities seen in Congress since the Great Depression, Speaker Greene and Senate Majority Leader Hawley could and would run rough-shot over President Biden and the Democrats with little opposition and they still had openings to expand by targeting Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Washington in 2028, though they new winning all of those states would be a pipe dream and instead put their focus on winning the big six as they called it, being Arizona, Connecticut, Georgia, Nevada, New Hampshire, and Pennsylvania. For House Leadership, with Hern gone and Green having proven himself a better Speaker to the House Freedom Caucus than John Boehner, Paul Ryan, Kevin McCarthy, and Mike Johnson, the position of Assistant Republican Leader was scrapped and replaced. On the Presidential front, with the victories of his faction in the midterms, many expected Trump to renege on his 2025 promise that he would not run in 2028 and seek the second term that got away from him. In Mid December, though, he would be killed while holding a meet and greet in New York City, with the assassin having been revealed to have been a paranoid schizophrenic who believed that Trump, Biden, Harris, and both political parties were plotting to install a military regime over the United States. He had been arrested for disturbing the peace but was released days before election day and so soft on crime policies were blamed for the death of a former President. Over the coming months, as the President and Congress stubbornly bickered with one another, the Presidential Field began to line up, with Texas Senator Ted Cruz being the first to announce on January 17th, followed by former Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy on January 25th, then Vermont Governor Phil Scott on February 9th, Former South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem on February 27th, Former Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on March 29th, Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders on May 3rd, and finally Ohio Senator J. D. Vance on June 16th.

While other candidates would come and go, those seven would be seen by many as the main candidates in the race with a lot of focus being put on all seven of them in particular and being slotted into three specific wings, being Full on MAGA, being Vance, Semi-MAGA, being DeSantis, Cruz, and Sanders, and Establishmentarian or Anti-MAGA, being Cassidy, Noem, and Scott (though Noem was less Anti-MAGA and more was just aligned more with establishmentarian interests). However, as the Presidential race heated up, the Republicans put their full focus on the Governorship of Kentucky, where Congressman Thomas Massie, who had retired and was replaced by Felicia Rabourn in 2026, was the Republican Nominee, would eventually carry the state, earning yet another Governor’s mansion for the party while Michael Watson won the race to succeed Tate Reeves as Governor of Mississippi. Furthermore, the 2025, 2026, and 2027 elections had allowed the Republicans to establish majorities or supermajorities in just about every state and Chair Whatley announced plans to really ramp up efforts to kick the Democratic Party out of any kind of power for the foreseeable future. However, at the moment, the Democrats, once riding high from victories and Republican dysfunction, was now facing a united Republican Party out for blood and revenge after being out of power for eight long years while suffering under a harsh economic depression, with their messaging being outdone by Republican messaging while having to deal with a vacant Supreme Court Seat. The Democrats had seen better days and now the 2028 Election would prove that as there were only five candidates running, being Vice President Harris, former Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg (who had retired from his post to run for President), Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Former Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, and Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock, though Harris was the obvious heavy frontrunner in the race. It was clear that the 2028 Election had begun and it was in full force by 2028.

Senate Majority Leader Josh Hawley (R-MO), who was made Senate Majority Leader after John Thune was successfully ousted in 2027. His Leadership in the Senate ensured the Republican Party remained a powerful force in Congress and his and Green’s dual leadership solidified that.

Yeah, like I said, the TL isn't very realistic and its not supposed to be. This is more of a best case scenario for the Third New Right where everything goes well for them, though Democrats will recover, overtime.

No clue how Biden managed to win despite losing the NPV by nine, but good for him, I guess. We're so ed otherwise though, lmao.

Mainly due to the fact that Kennedy was thrown off the ballot in the three key states (MI, PA, & WI) but not elsewhere. Despite that, those three states were extremely close (look at the stated vote margins between them).

As the United States witnessed the rise of the America First movement in Congress and nationally and deadlock between the President and his legislative branch, the rest of the world continued onwards as per usual. First to cover is the War in Ukraine, where the Russian Federation slowly ground the Ukrainian forces, propped up by European and American aid, and gained territory at their expense, especially with the fall of Pryluky to Russian forces on November 15th, placing Kyiv 92 miles from the frontlines. Then, in early 2025, Ukraine requested more aid and while Europe would deliver, America did not due to the efforts of Speaker Green who put his foot down on the issue and firmly rejected sending the aid to Ukraine any more. With the lack of American aid and weapons, the Russian offensives began to gather speed and by June of 2025, Kyiv was once again under attack before finally falling in October of 2025 largely due to much of Europe pulling out of the war and giving Ukraine Aid either following new governments coming in or the Hyper Depression forcing them to put their financial and economic interests back home. President Zelensky desperately requested direct intervention in the war as Kyiv fell but he would go unheard and by March of 2026, only a few cities in Ukraine remained unoccupied.

In May of that year, during a press conference, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared an end to the military operation in Ukraine, announcing that it was a resounding success with the nation of Ukraine to be demilitarized and occupied for the time being until a more effective government could replace it, though it was clear he was effectively appointing a puppet regime over the nation for him to rule over the non-annexed portions. Most nations condemned the result of the war but with the economic depression eating up most of their time, they had no choice to ignore Putin and hope that he would not go after Georgia, the Baltics, or Poland next following the exhausting and grinding war. Putin, privately, expressed that he was glad the war was finally over and wanted to focus on occupation and stabilization before he attempted to expand any further. In August of 2026, Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko died and with that, almost immediately, Russian forces intervened to prevent any potential fallout from his death, with it being officially annexed by Russia in November, the day before the midterm elections. Putin would slowly begin to expand into other former Soviet countries, annexing them one by one and establishing soft control over them through his efforts, though he remained careful and didn’t rock the boat too much. Suffice to say, in just four years, Russia had gotten what it wanted and more.

In the Middle East, a different event was going on as Israel continued its own military campaign in Gaza against HAMAS that had struck on October 27th, 2023, with the campaign being criticized for how cold and brutal it was for the regular Palestinian civilian and while State Secretary Blinken tried to negotiate ceasefires, none of them would stick due to one side always reigniting the conflict despite the hopes of the Biden administration to finally end the bloodshed. Then, there was the possibility of the war expanding to Iran and then, in early 2025, that included Lebanon and when the Hyper Depression hit, the nation of Israel became more desperate and ramped up its campaign to end it quicker, no matter the cost of human lives. On October 27th, 2025, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Nethanyahu gave a press conference in which he declared the Gaza conflict was finally over with the strip of land now being occupied by the Israelis until they could determine what they could do with it, though extreme emphasis was put on de-radicalizing its population and wiping out remaining HAMAS cells.

Outside of Israel proper, when they received the final aid from the United States, Netanyahu felt betrayed and privately stated “Our greatest ally has turned against us!” in reference to the United States and its recent shift away from Israel despite the efforts of many Neoconservatives such as Ben Shapiro, who announced in October that he would be leaving the United States and instead move to Israel due to the Republican Party’s recent turn away from assisting Israel as a major foreign policy pillar. With no further aid from the United States to be expected, the Israeli government set about trying to repair relations with the neighboring Arab states, only for them to reject any meeting and conference so long as Israel occupied Gaza, but would be open to talks as soon as the nation removed its forces from the region. The Israelis, having fought a bitter two year war over it, refused, insisting they must remain in the area until they had stabilized it and wiped out HAMAS, though the indications of no clear exit strategy meant that the government felt Gaza had to be occupied indefinitely to ensure success. Now alone and isolated, Benjamin Netanyahu faces two major crises as he has to handle both the Israeli economy and the occupation of Gaza while somehow preventing a full-on Arab intervention.

Outside of the two main conflicts the world was focused on in, there were several major elections, with some of the most important being in Poland, where Donald Tusk lost the Presidency to PiS, Germany, where AfD gained a majority of 321 Seats in large part thanks to the hyper depression, and in the Netherlands, where Geert Wilders successfully got a snap election against the unpopular government pulled off and won 113 Seats in the election, clearing the map and establishing control and a majority that was unexpected. Soon more nations fell to the right wing populist surge as Brazil, France, Chile, Columbia, Peru, Greece, Italy, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Bulgaria, Austria, and other nations elected more right-wing governments to replace left-wing or centre governments due to the aggravation of the common citizen with left wing and centre policies thx in large part to the depression and the new migration crisis thanks in large part to the collapse of Africa and the third world in the aftermath of the hyper depression. By 2028, it became extremely clear that whoever the next United States president was, they would either love the governments of their new allies or despise them to a great extent.

With the Republican Civil War of 2015-2027 largely behind them, the new Republican Party, being vastly more Right-Wing then moderate, would enter the 2028 Presidential Election energized and ready to fight back after the recent economic reports showed no signs of recovery as President Biden still pushed for increases in Welfare spending and even tried to push hard for Free College and Universal Healthcare, only for Speaker Green and Senate Majority Leader Hawley to deny him at every turn. Biden’s own approval ratings were in the gutter as well, with 2026 seeing him end up at 27 % Approve, 65 % Disapprove, just barely above Harry Truman’s 22 % Approval in February of 1952, and this showed with how the Republican Candidates focused hard on Biden’s unpopularity and unpopular agenda in their attacks and their campaign while the Democratic Candidates, including the Vice President and former Secretary of Transportation, tried to distance themselves from President Biden and insisted they were nothing like him and would be their own President that could work with the Republican Congresses better than the other candidates.

The main focus of the race was always going to be the Republican Party, however. In 2026, they announced that they would be holding their National Convention at Madison Square Garden in New York City while the Democrats announced their convention would be in Detroit as both parties geared up for the Presidential Election, their fields began to form, with J. D. Vance becoming the clear frontrunner of the race by having an appealing pro-family, pro-working class, pro-union, anti-immigration, America First platform that was clear, concise, and to the point and the Ohio Senator was incredibly transparent in all his plans if elected, always saying “It doesn’t hurt to plan ahead for everything” when asked why he did it all. Many had hoped DeSantis or Cruz would be his main opponent and unseat Vance as the frontrunner, but after the first debate, where Vance hit DeSantis hard on his run against Trump in 2024 and buddying up with anti-Trump figures and Cruz was hit for his 2016 vote your conscience speech as well as his failures to be there for the Texas Blizzard while he, Vance, was right on the ground during the East Palestine crisis. The main candidate of the Establishment would be Former Louisiana Senator and one of Trump’s 2021 Impeachers Bill Cassidy, who mainly focused on trying to take the party back from extremists ideology and MAGA that would it down the path to suicide. It soon became clear that 2026 would basically become a repeat of 2016, with DeSantis being the Rubio, Cruz fulfilling his role from 2016, Sanders filling in Carson’s slot, Vance being like Trump, Noem being like Chris Christie, Phil Scott being the Jeb Bush, and Bill Cassidy being the John Kasich.

Throughout the entire race, it was almost always a battle for second and third place between DeSantis and Cruz while Sanders remained in a stubborn fourth place and Noem behind her and Cassidy behind him as Vance remained on top in national and most state polls having been established as the party’s clear frontrunner very early in the race. In December of 2027, Unemployment reached 29 %, which stunned many in the race as it was higher than the 25 % in 1933, showing that it was only getting worse for the American citizen as over eighty years of stability and globalism collapsed into ruin as nations turned to the right for answers. In the words of Steve Bannon “Neoliberalism, Neoconservatism, both kinds of neo are dead. Long live populism!” and Vance took full advantage of that, appearing at family dinners and restaurants, shopping at local businesses, and even appearing on local radio shows and even online podcasts to get his message out there and to be heard. Perhaps the biggest moment was when he, Senate Leader Hawley, and Speaker Green all agreed on Timcast IRL on October 13th where the Presidential Candidate laid out his platform, who he might pick for cabinet, a willingness to get advice from people like Tim, and a belief that he might not win the primary all while Hawley and Green explained the dysfunction with Biden personally and what was the main factor in the Hyper Depression occurring. Thus, when 2028 officially began and Iowa began to close in, not only was Vance the most likely nominee and clear frontrunner, he was also now more known than ever before, all the while the Democrats focused more on themselves and rarely, if ever, mentioned President Biden and if he was mentioned, it was almost always in a negative light with Harris not even trying to defend him. It soon became clear that the United States Presidential Election of 2028 would be one to remember, if only because it would be the end of the sixth party system and official start of the seventh party system.

Despite the status of the Iowa Caucuses as being a sign of future defeat for Republican Primary Campaigns (the only exceptions being 1996 with Bob Dole, 2000 with George W. Bush, and Donald Trump in 2024), Vance believes a strong performance in the state could give him the needed boost to do well in New Hampshire and then go on to win the key state of South Carolina. Recent polling shows him in a very distant fifth place and eight points behind Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders with the most likely candidate to win in Iowa being either Texas Senator Ted Cruz or Former Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Specifically, Vance plans to target white working class and union areas, as well as universities, to rally out youth support and the new Republican base of the White Working Class and Union voters that Vance has made himself a favorite of while allowing Cruz, DeSantis, who was endorsed by eight term Senator Chuck Grassley who was running for an ninth term in November (an amount of terms matched only by former West Virginia Senator Robert C. Byrd, who served from 1959 until his death in 2010), and Sanders to go after the Evangelical vote while also leaving Kristi Noem to gather up a majority of the suburbanite vote that disliked culture war issues and the rightward shift of the party and preferred a moderate or establishmentarian approach to politics.

Knowing full well the effect immigration, inflation, and the hyper depression has had on agriculture and manufacturing, two key components of Iowa’s economy, he will focus a large amount of his campaign in the state on that though he will put most of his effort into South Carolina. In order to weaken the three heads in the states, he runs three decisive attack ad campaigns on Cruz, DeSantis, and Noem to hopefully hamper their performances and either allow for Sanders to win in an upset or both Sanders and him to perform better than expected. For the Cruz attack ad, he will focus on Cruz’s disapproval and how many people personally dislike him, bringing up questions of if he could cost the party the election in November, his refusal to endorse Trump in 2016 that very likely hurt the late former President’s performance among Republicans in the general, especially among the Cruz wing, and finally him going on a vacation in Cancun during the great Texas Blizzard of 2021 that severely hampered the state, while comparing that Vance himself went to East Palestine rather than go on vacation or wait in the Senate to find out what was really going on and get the word out about the ongoing crisis in the state at the time, leading to him getting a large amount of name recognition and national support.

His attack ads on DeSantis would again focus on three things, being DeSantis having left the governing in Florida for the most part during his 2024 Presidential Campaign, asking if he can be expected to actually stay and govern if elected President, DeSantis having surrounded himself with Bush**tes and Neocons in the past and continuing to do so even in his newest Presidential Campaign, and his inability to have a proper economic message, only bringing forward a major cultural one that caused many of the more moderate Republicans to be turned off from him. This would be compared to Vance, who focused on both economic and cultural issues, only left the Senate for the odd campaign event or three, and went to the ground when a major crisis hit his state, all of which was to his favor.

Finally, his attacks on Noem would focus on her attempts to purge South Dakota of legitimate Conservatives during her tenure as Governor, her being beholden to special interests such as pro-transgender corporations that wanted to get gender affirming care for children in South Dakota, and her inability to really stand up to the RINOs in the state and federal government that represented the state, even endorsing them against the wishes of Trump and his allies. While the first and final attacks won’t hurt Noem with her pro-Establishment base too much, it will keep DeSantis and Cruz voters from supporting her and the second attack will be to get suburban white moms to turn against her and instead go to vote for either Former Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy or Vermont Governor Phil Scott. He would also add in attacks by utilizing her alleged affairs and her shooting of her fourteen month old puppy Cricket that was publicized in her book because it wouldn't hunt and she didn't feel like training it. With these attacks, it is hoped that enough of the leading three candidates will be hurt enough to cause them to generally collapse and open up a path for Sanders and Vance to go forward and it also coincides with Sanders own attacks against the three.

Finally, there was a major positive ad campaign by Vance where he promoted a new economic, cultural, and pro-family message with a new idea for Conservatism and the idea of the party and government being more for the interests of the common American citizen then special interests and foreign governments, with a promise to mass focus on bringing forward a new dawn and a return of the old American dream and restoring the country to its former glory. With there being only a week until Iowa votes, Vance knew he didn’t have much time to campaign in the state and thus had spent the months before at major events and rallies to garner as much support as he believed was viable. On the day before the Caucuses were held, he would receive the endorsement of the popular Senator Scott Parkinson of Virginia that was aligned with his wing of the party, which he used to great effect in a final campaign event.

Before anyone asks, yes, the Kristi Noem killing her dog thing seems to be real

Now, with everything finished and all I typed before posting, I would like to know what you guys would like to see for Election Night coverage : MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, RSBN, Newsmax, Fox, or should I go for an online account like Let's Talk Elections, Real American Politics, or Red Eagle Politics?

Also, once me and a friend have finished up with blank spaces, I will post the downballot race results of 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027, the people newly inaugurated members of Government across the country, Leadership in both chambers, and what the Congressional Committees look like. So just be patient until then folks

What is the PoD? In this timeline, Doggate still happens - which is extraordinary since I have scant precedent on hand for real-life events impacting the flow/story of timelines in real time - but neither Greene, Massie nor Gosar support removing Speaker Mike Johnson (which they all do in real life to the extent they've all signed onto a Motion to Vacate).

The embed should lead to https://i.imgur.com/HiGzPoy.jpeg - Imgur has had known, years-long issues with nudging users towards the image context page instead of the raw image.

The representatives that retired would be [too many in number to quote verbatim here], bringing the GOP seat count from 212 to 131 House Seats by losing 82 Seats in one wave of resignations.
David Foster Wallace would be proud of this sentence. More to the point, how the heck did the House GOP makeup collapse this quickly? Were the Shooed Eighty-Two aligned on the issue of Emmer versus Hern, are they nondescript RSC types in general, were they upset at a particular bill, are they vulnerable or just sick of it all? Is there a reason why some of the people on their side of the argument left while a smaller number of allied Republicans are just sticking it out through 2026?

D. Vance became a leading voice for it and was able to get it passed in the Senate with 53 Votes for Aye and 47 Votes for Nay...
This pattern repeats for all five of the Green Bills. Reconciliation, or a whole load of filibusting graft?

After two months of the Debt Ceiling crisis continuing and polling showing that they backed Speaker Green’s Proposals over Biden 53-43-4, Biden made a move that would become infamous and pushed for the Treasury to print the long proposed Trillion Dollar Coin.
Coins are minted; they are not printed. Also, one trillion dollars would barely make a dent in the deficit, never mind debt.

...though a few countries, such as Javier Millei’s Argentina, Nayib Bukele’s El Salvador, Vladimir Putin’s Russia, Victor Orban’s Hungary, and Yoon Suk Yeol’s South Korea, avoided the brunt of the disaster and would soon recover in short order as the rest of the world economically, financially, and in some instances, quite literally, collapsed almost overnight...
Was Milei forced to abandon dollarisation and instead just let the peso do whatever it wants? That's the only way I can see Argentina getting out of a dollar-centric crisis.

Greene, Massie, and Gosar do support vacating Johnson ITTL, they vote for it alongside the other people who have signed onto it. Bob Good introduces the motion to vacate mainly because of Johnson refusing to help him in his primary battle (despite Johnson agreeing to help most Incumbents) but supporting Gonzalez instead.

Thanks for helping with that.

Is there a reason why some of the people on their side of the argument left while a smaller number of allied Republicans are just sticking it out through 2026?

It was a combination of a lot of factors, but mainly these things :

1) The House Freedom Caucus
the Mainstream/Establishment Republicans HATE them, especially the more hardline members like Gaetz, APL, Crane, Good, and Biggs and if Johnson was vacated due to them, they would feel the HFC is taking over and not want to be a part of that. Also, fun fact, I just recently learned Gaetz is not in the HFC, he's just aligned with them.

2) No longer in the majority
with Johnson vacated and five members resigning (Gaetz and Luna said on a recent podcast that it likely happens if Johnson is vacated), the GOP can't unite behind anybody for Speaker or House Minority Leader. Remember how stubbornly they were against Jordan. The HFC won't vote for a Moderate (like Emmer or Bacon) and the Moderates won't vote for an HFC member (like Biggs or Harris), which opens up the room for Jeffries to become Speaker and thus technically, the Democrats hold the majority, meaning the Committees chairs and such go away.

3) The Party turning more right-wing

a lot of these guys are liberals and moderates who have tried to keep the GOP from turning right-wing for decades and now that the party is, they'll be pissed about it now that the actual conservatives have twice said no to them and would want to screw over the actual conservatives.

A lot of the shooed 82 resign early due to mainly these three factors. A lot more considered early resignations but ultimately decided against it and just retired as they're doing OTL while some, like Gonzalez, Bacon, and Timmons are trying to fight out their primary battles. Crenshaw and his ilk stayed mainly because they believed they could still get a Speaker aligned to their interests(someone like Spartz or Obernolte) but as the 2025 Speakership vote shows, that failed. They don't resign though, instead choosing to either run for Senate or Governor in 26.

Also, what's with the DFW reference?I don't get it.

lmao

This pattern repeats for all five of the Green Bills. Reconciliation, or a whole load of filibusting graft?

It mainly happens for the Immigration and Crime bills, since the Democrats hate what is in them. No one wants to be seen as voting against any infrastructure bill and the Democrats are glad for the Taiwanese aid. Green decides to keep the Welfare reform stuff for the debt ceiling negotiations.

Thanks for catching that. I swear I typed mint. As for the Trillion Dollar Coin, it's a real thing and was discussed for 2011 and most recently, 2023. Biden does it in 2025 because Green is pushing for his proposals and Thune isn't trying to real him back (Biden hated the Crime and Immigration for Aid Compromise he made and doesn't want to do such a thing again).

...though a few countries, such as Javier Millei’s Argentina, Nayib Bukele’s El Salvador, Vladimir Putin’s Russia, Victor Orban’s Hungary, and Yoon Suk Yeol’s South Korea, avoided the brunt of the disaster and would soon recover in short order as the rest of the world economically, financially, and in some instances, quite literally, collapsed almost overnight...
Was Milei forced to abandon dollarisation and instead just let the peso do whatever it wants? That's the only way I can see Argentina getting out of a dollar-centric crisis.

He does, though he also decides to abandon the Peso and introduce a new currency at the advice of his economic aides since the Peso is largely garbage at this point, tying it to Gold to give it a brief and sustainable value until it can be it own currency separate from Gold.

Also, if you're wondering, the 2025 UK Election sees Labour get 51 % of the vote, Reform (led by Farage) get 25 %, the Lib Dems get 10 %, Greens get 4 %, PlaidC and Others 3.6 %, SNP 3.5 %, and the Tories 3 %, each, meaning the seats are 542 Labour, 39 Lib Dem, 28 SNP, Northern Ireland's 18 Seats go to their parties, 6 Reform (including Farage), 3 Tory, 3 PlaidC, and 2 Green, giving Starmer the largest Majority in UK History, though the Hyper Depression really makes him unpopular and Labour unpopular and Reform, which has subsumed the defeated Tories as the Right-Wing Party, is gunning to be a Far Right, Populist alternative to them.

Hope this answers your questions. What do you think of this TL so far and what should be the election coverage?

Fox News Election Night Theme : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88je-dAzZPM

Baier : Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I am Brett Baier of the Fox News Election Center and with me today is Martha McCallum and Bill Hemmer. Welcome to our coverage of the 2028 Iowa Caucuses for the Republican Party. Will Iowa give Cruz his second win of the state, a repeat of twelve years ago, will it avenge the DeSantis failure of 2024, or will Noem or Sanders pull off a surprise win? What will become of the national frontrunner of the party, J. D. Vance of Ohio, given his low polling in the Hawkeye State? We will find out tonight as Iowans gather across the state in the starting round of the Presidential Primaries of this year.

McCallum : We are just minutes from polls closing in the state and already we have heard reports of record turnout as over three-fourths of Republicans and two-thirds of non-Republicans across the state have appeared, with around 57 % of the non-Republicans stating that this will be their first time voting in a Republican Caucus. Big numbers and big results. Also key to report is this, around 61 % of voters claimed they didn't vote in 2024 or 2026 and around 53 % of voters claimed this is their first time voting. We don't know for sure what this means, but as we count down to the poll closings, let's go to Bill Hemmer at the data deck so he can analyze these numbers and what each candidate needs to win.

Hemmer : Thank you, Martha. Now, as of right now, it has become a clear struggle as DeSantis, Cruz, and Sanders all battle it out for the state's evangelical vote, which is located in the North and some parts of the center, east, and south, while Kristi Noem has focused her attention on the suburbs of Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Davenport, Waterloo, and Sioux City, the state's largest cities where a lot of the more moderate vote can be expected, finally, J. D. Vance has a very narrow chance of victory, but with Cruz, Sanders, and DeSantis fighting one another for the old evangelical base of the party and Noem being able to take in the dwindling suburban support of the party, he can take advantage of the newly found base of the party introduced by Trump in his three elections, being White Working Class and, most surprising of all, youth voters aged 18-29 and we see time and time again that Vance is the favorite among both these groups, with the White Working Class preferring Vance with 71 % and the Youth preferring him with 57 %, easily defeating his closest opposition in both categories, being Ron DeSantis, with 15 %, and Sarah Huckabee Sanders, with 29 %, respectfully. This means that Vance has a very narrow chance at winning and everything has to go right for him, but when taking into account his recent attack ads against the three frontrunners, we see that he and Sanders have been boosted to the frontrunners in the state. Now, is this true? We don't know, but if it is, then we are looking at an upset and polling miss of a gargantuan scale.

Baier : That we are, Bill. And now, it is 8 : 00 PM eastern and from entrance polls, we can project that it will be a five person race so far due to Sanders and Vance outperforming polling and DeSantis under-preforming expectations as he finds himself behind Noem who is behind Vance who is behind Sanders who is being led by Cruz. However, Cruz just has a slight edge largely thanks to his, albeit split, support in Iowa's evangelical northern country, though Sanders and, to a much lesser extent, DeSantis is eating into those margins.

Iowa Republican caucuses (1 % reported) - 51 delegates [5 % Needed for Delegates]

Ted Cruz (TX) : 21 %
Sarah Huckabee Sanders (AR) : 19 %
J. D. Vance (OH) : 15 %
Kristi Noem : 13 %
Ron DeSantis : 11 %
Bill Cassidy : 7 %
Phil Scott : 5 %
Others (Scattered) : 4 %
Undecided : 5 %

Baier : It is now 8:30 PM and we can project that Vance has taken the lead over Sanders and Cruz, with Cruz now being in third while Sanders is in second. DeSantis has overtaken Noem in fourth place as well but while Vance has a strong lead now, Sanders is quickly gaining on him as the minutes tick away all the while Sanders continues to gain support at the expense of both Cruz and DeSantis. In the days leading up to the caucuses, both candidates stated that if they don't win Iowa, they will likely be suspending their presidential campaigns as they have put all their energy and resources into the Hawkeye State to try and gain momentum going into the rest of the primary season. Should they drop out, it would bring the field down to five candidates and then all focus and attention will be put into New Hampshire, will Vermont Governor Phil Scott is putting everything on the line.

Iowa Republican caucuses (25 % reported) - 51 delegates [5 % Needed for Delegates]

J. D. Vance (OH) : 27 %
Sarah Huckabee Sanders (AR) : 21 %
Ted Cruz (TX) : 17 %
Ron DeSantis : 15 %
Kristi Noem : 11 %
Bill Cassidy : 5 %
Phil Scott : 3 %
Others (Scattered) : 1 %

Baier : It is now 9 PM and we can project that Vance still is in the lead but DeSantis has overtaken Cruz for third place, though Noem is quickly gaining ground on both of them. The battle for last is still a hotly contested battle between Cassidy and Scott but it makes sense as both men placed their focus on other states rather than Iowa. Sanders herself is gaining ground on Vance but the question is it enough to win, as much like Cruz and DeSantis, she has dumped a lot of resources into Iowa and feels that she needs to win it or else her campaign will have no choice but to be suspended.

Iowa Republican caucuses (50 % reported) - 51 delegates [5 % Needed for Delegates]

J. D. Vance (OH) : 25 %
Sarah Huckabee Sanders (AR) : 23 %
Ron DeSantis : 19 %
Ted Cruz (TX) : 15 %
Kristi Noem : 13 %
Bill Cassidy : 3 %
Phil Scott : 1 %
Others (Scattered) : 1 %

Baier : It is now 9:30 PM Eastern and we can report that both Vance and Sanders have tied for leading the state caucuses with both having around 21 % of the vote each, Vance only leads by .51 % and many believe it is only a matter of time until she takes the lead. Meanwhile, Kristi Noem has surged to third while DeSantis is now in fifth place and with the votes not being there for him or Cruz, we are currently getting reports that both will address their supporters very shortly. This has been a fun night and it is still going on. In a matter of minutes, we could see the final results of this night and how its going.

Iowa Republican caucuses (75 % reported) - 51 delegates [5 % Needed for Delegates]

J. D. Vance (OH) : 21 %
Sarah Huckabee Sanders (AR) : 21 %
Kristi Noem : 17 %
Ted Cruz (TX) : 15 %
Ron DeSantis : 13 %
Bill Cassidy : 7 %
Phil Scott : 5 %
Others (Scattered) : 1 %

Baier : It is 10 PM EST and we can make a key race alert. With all precincts reported, we can now announce that Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the 47th Governor of Arkansas and White House Press Secretary from 2017-2019, has won the Iowa Republican Caucuses by 2.34 % over the surprise second place finish of Ohio Senator J. D. Vance all while former South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem places above Former Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for third place, DeSantis tops 2016 Presidential Candidate and Texas Senator Ted Cruz for fourth, Former Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy comes in sixth, and Vermont Governor Phil Cassidy is in seventh and last place. This was not expected, this was not seen. All the polling predicted a DeSantis or Cruz win, maybe a Noem win, but non expected Sanders to win or Vance to place Second in this contest. such a huge, huge polling miss.

Iowa Republican caucuses (75 % reported) - 51 delegates [5 % Needed for Delegates]

Sarah Huckabee Sanders (AR) : 21.71 % ✔ (12 Delegates)
J. D. Vance (OH) : 19.37 % (11 Delegates)
Kristi Noem : 15.73 % (8 Delegates)
Ron DeSantis : 13.59 % (7 Delegates)
Ted Cruz (TX) : 11.95 % (6 Delegates)
Bill Cassidy : 7.51 % (4 Delegates)
Phil Scott : 5.37 % (3 Delegates)
Others (Scattered) : 4.77 %

SARAH HUCKABEE SANDERS WINS THE IOWA REPUBLICAN CAUCUSES

Baier : A big night for both the Sanders and Vance campaigns while the Noem, Cassidy, and Scott Campaigns have expected results. However, this is the worst possible news for the Cruz and DeSantis campaigns as they needed either a win or to place second or third to justify staying in the race and now, we are getting reports that...yep, they have just announced they are withdrawing from the presidential race due to their poor Iowa performance and have even given out endorsements, as DeSantis has endorsed Sanders and Cruz has endorsed Vance. This night has been full of surprises.

RON DESANTIS DROPS OUT OF THE RACE (ENDORSES SANDERS)TED CRUZ DROPS OUT OF THE RACE (ENDORSES VANCE)

Baier : Bill, think you can explain what just happened because I'm honestly still in a bit of shock over these results.

Bill : Gladly, Brett. So when we look at the map, we see a lot of Maroon in the Evangelical belt, some purple in the suburbs, but look at this, a lot, and I mean a lot, of Orange in urban areas and around universities. I mean, look at some of these margins for college campuses : University of Iowa, Vance won 79 % to DeSantis' 7 %, Iowa State University, Vance won 65 % to Sanders' 21 %, Drake University, Vance won 83 % to Noem's 7 %, and it goes on and on. Then we look at farmer and white working class areas as we see the exact same thing, Vance over performing in these places while everyone else under performs. The story of the night isn't Sanders' victory, she won largely because of evangelicals, no, the story is that Vance has brought forward a new potential base for the party and has proven it is effective for a statewide campaign. Going forward, we should keep an eye on how Vance continues to perform with young and working class voters to see if Iowa was just a fluke or if he will continue to win. All in all, tonight was Vance's night and after this massive polling miss, a lot of pollsters will probably be asking "What the hell happened?" Well, I'll just point at this map and say this, this happened. Back to you Brett.

Brett : Well, I know one pollster who will be very happy, Richard Barris. He predicted a Sanders win with Vance placing third and Noem in second but he said in the days before the caucus after his final poll that first, second, and third is anyone's game between the three. He didn't get the exact margins right, but no polls do. What tonight does show, however, is that the future of these primaries will be fun to watch going forward. Now please, join us in a week as we cover the South Carolina Democratic Primary, their first race. Thank you and good night

Wallace is famous for using very, very long sentences in his essays.

I am neutral as to how exactly you should cover the elections, but have enjoyed your opening Fox teaser. Certainly it is more readable than some of the CNN coverage I've seen in other timelines.

I am neutral as to how exactly you should cover the elections, but have enjoyed your opening Fox teaser. Certainly it is more readable than some of the CNN coverage I've seen in other timelines.

Thanks. Any predictions for both primaries going forward?

"Iowa, we have shocked the nation!

The Washington Establishment said that this wouldn't happen, that it was practically impossible.

For months, a very long time, they said we had no chance, they said Iowa was going to be Cruz or DeSantis country and I would be forced to drop out. They said my vision for America was too socialist, too left wing to be seen as conservative, that we needed to be the party of a President who left office forty years ago and died twenty-four years ago. For months, they said I was too much of a rabble rouser, that me ousting Thune from the leadership a year ago would cost me. For months, they said that Iowans weren't behind me and that the endorsements we had were nothing compared to the establishment machine. They said I was too young, too new, to run for office, that I didn't have the proper experience for it. They said that the last first term Senator to become President was a disaster, they tried to compare me to Obama, can you believe that? Unthinkable. Just a few nights ago, we were polling at seven, yes, seven percent, far behind the frontrunner for this state. Did we win Iowa? No, but I would say tonight's result was far better for us. Did we over perform by 3 points? No. How about 5? Wrong. By 7? Incorrect, we over performed by twelve points and not only that, we got second place! Tonight, the people have sent a strong and clear message, they don't want Reaganism, they don't want Bushism, they don't want American last, and they don't want the "experience" that has led us down the road of disaster under President Biden for eight long years, no, the people want change they can believe in!

Now, before I continue this speech, I want to congratulate Governor Sanders on her victory here and thank Senator Cruz for the endorsement, as well as wish both Senator Cruz and Governor DeSantis the best of luck on all future endeavors. All three of them campaigned hard for this past year, especially for this state. It was important for all of us and they showed they had the grit and tenacity to fight, with Sanders winning tonight. I also wish to congratulate Governor Noem on her third place finish tonight. She ran a great, down to earth campaign here and while I was a bit nasty to her near the end of the campaign, I still do respect her as a fellow Republican. Iowa has showed us what it wanted tonight and it wanted Sanders, myself, and Noem instead of Cruz or DeSantis and especially not Cassidy or Scott. This was a great night, not just for America, but for the America first movement as we unite to beat back the establishment, to beat back special interests, to beat back the remaining RINOs in the party, and so on and so forth. Tonight, America won and the establishment lost.

Now, this is no longer a time for waiting. Our nation is in a crisis, the worst crisis in its history. Unemployment is at 27 %, Inflation is at 35.71 %, our adversaries and allies abroad see us as weak and ineffective, Gas is on average $7.91, Crime has caused many businesses and cities to fall into utter ruin, and our open border with Mexico lets in more criminals by the hour. And what does this administration do? Try and put more money into issues and ideas that don't help the American citizen, but line the pockets of special interests and the elite 1 % of this country, a group I have never been a part of and never will. And when the Republican Party, who controls both chambers with supermajorities, comes to negotiate with him in good faith, what does he do? Does he try to work out a deal? No, he instead calls the Speaker, pardon my language, 'A dumb sack of s--t.' and then attacks Senator Hawley, a friend of mine, as a 'Putin Stooge that doesn't know the difference between the Constitution and toilet paper. Mr. President, I have a copy of the Constitution right here, you might need to read it some time because I swear, you're the one using it as toilet paper!

This election is not just about change, it's not just about right from wrong, it's not even about our future. No, this election, plain as day, is about what our nation should be and what it needs to be. What we can become and how we should move forward in that direction. We are no longer the party of endless foreign wars and businesses that hate us, that is now the Democratic party and everyone knows it now. Kamala Harris, if elected, will bring the nation downward by continuing the same incompetent policies of Joe Biden and perhaps even handle them in an even worse manner. Imagine, if you will, you see Harris is elected President. All that is happening right now continues for years and then 2031 comes around and unemployment is over half, inflation is two-thirds, gas costs more than $15, crime now has no way to be curtailed, and our nation now has let in tens of millions of immigrants by the months, and the Supreme Court is now 9-0 Pro-Immigration, Pro-Crime, Liberal Justices with no Conservative opposition, ensuring Harris' policies only have Congress as a check. You look at that and then I ask you, what comes next when a nation faces that much decline, what becomes of a nation when they go through a crisis much like this? I point to Weimar Germany, the Kingdom of Italy, the Provisional Government of Russia in 1917, the Shah's Iran, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, and the list goes on. It is not a pretty picture. Harris must, must, be defeated this November or else what happened back then could happen now, and it won't be from the Republicans or the Democrats, no, it will be someone far worse.

Harris' sheer incompetence at handling our nation's border crisis is disqualifying for her to be our President. Buttigieg's incompetence during the nation's transportation crisis is disqualifying for him. Whitmer's COVID-19 response and how she handled the protests against her term as governor are disqualifying. Warnock's hatred of America and belief that it is fundamentally racist and will never allow the average american citizen to rise up is disqualifying to be President. Shapiro's inability to effectively handle the unemployment in his own state is disqualifying to be President. All five candidates the Democrats have to be their nominee should've been disqualified for incompetence and other factors alone. I ask everyone, where do they find these people, who know nothing about governance and leadership and are only there to be a diversity hire and to fill in some type of D. E. I. or B. R. I. D. G. E. diversity quota for the government. Do not worry, when I am elected in November, all that will be scrapped and torn apart, replaced by a system based on merit and love for the American way of life.

If I am our nominee, and recent polling and both Cruz and DeSantis leaving this race shows that that is all but inevitable now, when I am our nominee, this party will be unified under one message, one idea, and one voice : America First! America First! When I am President, I will bring forward new ideas to revitalize the dying Conservative movement in this country, I will create pro-family programs designed to encourage families and childbirth and putting an investment into our future. I will build that border wall and replace birthright citizenship with right by blood, in which a child who is born to two parents who are American citizens and are second or third generation american citizens. I will mass deport illegal workers and immigrants depressing the wages of our nation's many workers, encouraging rampant crime rates in our cities, and refusing to assimilate into the American way of life. I will encourage the construction of new super prisons to house gangs and thugs, reintroduce the federal death penalty for serial killers, serial rapists, and some of our worst offenders and give a ten year waiting period for the convicted to have their innocence be proven with their record being cleared if they were found innocent and being assisted if they are discriminated against despite either having served their time or having been found innocent. We can no longer coddle violent thugs and criminals, we must treat them as such. I will pull back from all parts of the world that I view don't need us or don't want us. I will encourage the growth of our nation's fracking, natural gas, and oil industries while also encouraging the use of nuclear power and looking into fusion power. I have these ideas and so much more that I want to share with all of you. This is not the Conservatism of forty years ago, nor is it the Conservatism of 20 years ago. No, this is the new Conservatism, MAGA Conservatism, Patriotic Conservativism, Populist Conservatism, True Conservatism!

I want to thank all of you for being here tonight and supporting me as I continue this great campaign for our wonderful country. I also want to thank my amazing wife Usha who has been with me every step of the way during this campaign. I want to thank my wonderful for being with me throughout this whole campaign and understanding that their father is working hard to ensure they have the best possible future to live in. I also want to thank God for giving me, the son of divorced parents and a drug addicted mother, who was raised by his grandparents in Appalachia, the opportunity to run for and potentially become the 47th President of the United States of America, proving once again that this is the greatest nation on earth, that you can do anything if you put your mind to it.

I also want to thank a great friend who recently endorsed me. Senator Parkinson of Virginia, you have been a phenomenal voice in the Senate fighting for the people of Virginia and I believe that if the Senate more of me, you, Hawley, Moreno, and Donalds, we would be unstoppable as a Senate Majority. I am honored to have your endorsement and I hope to make you proud as we continue on with this campaign.

Over two hundred-and-fifty years ago, this great nation declared its independence as one people, the American people, from the British crown. They famously declared that all men are endowed with certain unalienable rights and the pursuit of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness! The right to fair trade, the right to a fair and free trial of the prosecuted peers, the right to move and live wherever you please, all endowed by our creator, the all mighty God. With that single declaration, they laid the groundwork for the greatest nation in the history of mankind and the rest has led up to this moment. America is great because of people like me, because of people like you, because of people like you. We are the people the founders declared independence for and they would rightfully be proud of the progress we are making forward today.

I was raised from a Scot-Irish family, the son of my father Donald Bowman and my mother Bev Vance, only for them to divorce when I was a toddler. My mother fell to drug addiction. I am the descendant of a long line of Scottish and Irish immigrants who have been in Appalachia for a long time. They saw America for what it could always be and my family has instilled in me that America should always strive for greatness, that when something is in our way, we will work through it, to defeat that adversity. I brought that philosophy to Washington and they didn't like that much, no they didn't. I exposed the establishment, I represented the people, I went down wen my state faced crisis after crisis, got involved when the East Palestine event happened, worked with Democrats to get something done to ensure it didn't happen again. I am no extremist, I am an american worker fighting for the same values I always have.

I earned a Yale law school degree on my own despite my roots and despite all the big city folks claiming they know better and are better than country folks, well I keep on proving they don't know anything about me, about you, about all of us. We are the American people, we can make the impossible possible and bring forward a great movement unlike anything the world has seen before it. That's what I am fighting for in the Senate and now on the campaign trail. I am fighting for the American way of life that we all know and love.

The America I see is an America where there is little to no inflation, where our economy is prospering, where we aren't entangled in a million different foreign wars and nations, where a family can be raised on a single income, where we value the traditional way of life and family in society. That's the nation I want to leave behind for my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and the nation I want to leave behind for all of you, young and old, when I am President. The past sixty years have been tough, it has been a long road and especially in the present, as we battle the Hyper Depression, where we face an economic crisis never seen before. Now, it is time for this generation to take the mantle of leadership from a withering old man and show that the United States can now be a great nation once again.

When I am elected President, real effective change will come to Washington and the swamp will see what happens when an Appalachian takes the reins whether they like it or not, and I assure you, they will absolutely hate what I have planned for my cabinet and my administration.

When I win the Presidency this November thanks to the efforts of all of you, when we all bask in the victory together, we will recognize and declare that America is now back and will begin to work tirelessly to fix the current crisis we are in. We will save America and make America great again not just for ourselves, but for our children and their children and their descendants. As President John Fitzgerald Kennedy famously said, 'Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country!' When our work is done, when the Vance Administration is finished and we are in the future, in the 22nd or 23rd centuries or even beyond that, my hope is that we will be remembered for who we are and what we did. Because we revived the American dream at a time when it was dying out due to corruption, incompetence, and negligence. We rose to our current challenge and punched it down, we broke down the barrier between mediocrity and greatness and excelled beyond it. America won't just survive under us, it will thrive! When our descendants look back at us, they will thank us for saving America in its greatest crisis.

Because we rose up to the challenge of our generation, the 21st century was better than the 20th or 19th centuries in every conceivable fashion despite a rocky start. It was when America truly began to shine once again! This is the task we all have before us and I know together, we can win this and I'd like to thank each and every one of you for giving me your support tonight and going forward so we can win this race for America!

Iowa, this is just the beginning, because then we will head to New Hampshire, then South Carolina, then Nevada, then we will carry Super Tuesday, and then we're going to retake the White House and America! You believed in me despite everyone saying my campaign was going to die and on life support. You all proved why I am your front runner. I am proud to be the first choice among many people in this great state and to be second place against Governor Sanders. When I have won the nomination, I will come back and say that here, in Iowa, my victory began and in Washington D. C., in the White House, it will end! New Hampshire, we will go for you next! Thank you all and good night!

Republican Delegate Count

Sanders (AR) : 12 Delegates (1 Contest) [IA]
Vance (OH) : 11 Delegates
Kristi Noem (SD) : 8 Delegates
DeSantis (FL) : 7 Delegates
Cruz (TX) : 6 Delegates
Cassidy (LA) : 4 Delegates
Scott (VT) : 3 Delegates

New Polls

The dual surprise Victory of Sarah Huckabee Sanders and second place finish of J. D. Vance have effectively changed up the entire dynamic of the race with Vance now having a more commanding lead over his remaining four opponents in the three remaining early states and have consolidated himself as the front runner for the Republican party despite not winning Iowa. Now that focus has come to New Hampshire, polling for Vance looks interesting as Cassidy has all but abandoned the Granite State in favor of the Palmetto State while both Noem and Sanders have seen a boost following both Cruz and DeSantis leaving the race. If Vance is to end the primary early, he needs to have a strong first place finish in New Hampshire to knock Phil Scott out of the race and then focus on knocking out Noem as Cassidy is most likely to drop out with a last place finish in South Carolina. Meanwhile, the Democrats are seeing an interesting shift as Harris begins to fall with African American and Arab American voters, with Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock catching up in South Carolina and Mississippi, Former Mitchigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer catching up in her home state, and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro catching up in Nevada. While it looks like Vance is focusing on ending the primary in a quick and clean manner, the Harris campaign is imploding, forcing the Democrats into what will likely be a long primary season that could be even worse than 2016's.

Vance, Sanders, Noem Rolls out new Endorsements after Iowa performances

After the 2028 Iowa Republican Caucuses, the top three from the state announced a new list of endorsements that occurred in the following days. For Senator Vance, he would receive the endorsements of junior Kentucky Senator Savannah Maddox, junior South Carolina Senator Ralph Northam, and junior Maine Senator Eric Brakey. For Governor Sanders, she rolled out senior South Carolina Senator Tim Scott and Senior Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn. Finally, for Former Governor Noem, junior Virginia Senator Glenn Youngkin and junior Georgia Senator Brian Kemp would endorse her for the Presidency. Interestingly, polling shows that Ralph Norman is more popular than Tim Scott, who is not running for another term in November, giving Vance a major boost in the Palmetto State that all but consolidates his lead there while Brakey's endorsement could allow him to carry voters in New Hampshire, a state that his campaign is looking to carry to knock Vermont Governor Phil Scott out of the race. To further ramp it up, the Senator has also been endorsed by junior Arkansas Senator Jake Bequette, KY-06 Congresswoman Felicia Rabourn, and the senior Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, making him the right-wing favorite of the race.

Speaker Green introduces Articles of Impeachment against President Biden, Vice President Harris, Defense Secretary Lloyd, Treasury Secretary Yellen, & Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas

Source : https://www.nytimes.com/2024/02/14/us/politics/mark-green-retiring-congress.html

In Congress, somewhat connected to the Presidential race in regard to the only two Senators and Vice President Harris who is running, Speaker of the House Mark Green has introduced articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Secretary of Defense Austin Lloyd, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorakas. Citing Biden's numerous scandals, Harris' refusal to do her job in regards to the border, Austin's incompetence and mishandling of the Afghanistan withdrawal from several years prior, Yellen's failures to handle the economy, and Mayorakas not enforcing the law of the land and deporting any illegal that tries to enter the country. Vice President Harris has come out against these articles of impeachment, saying that are purely a partisan attack to weaken her campaign even further, though her opponents latched to attacked her and attempting to distance themselves from the Biden administration, which currently sits at 23 % approve, 72 % disapprove, 5 % don't know or unsure. Harris' only defendant in these attacks were Pete Buttigieg, the former Transportation Secretary, who insisted that Harris was doing her job just like anyone else and that the impeachment articles are partisan in nature. The impeachment hearings will start in the middle of March.

Phil Scott, Bill Cassidy state their campaigns are relying on New Hampshire and South Carolina

Source(s) : https://www.nga.org/governor/phil-scott/ ; https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q861999

Following the expected poor performance in Iowa, the two anti-MAGA candidates in the race, Vermont Governor Phil Scott and Former Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy, have staked their campaigns on the states of New Hampshire and South Carolina respectfully, putting all their remaining resources into both states. For Governor Scott, a win or strong second place in the Granite State is required as he can use either to justify staying in the race for a longer period of time and prevent Vance from winning the more moderate states or getting delegates in them. Meanwhile, Cassidy believes a decent second in South Carolina will convince donors to let him stay in the race to Super Tuesday, where he hopes to carry the state of Idaho. If both were to fail in their endeavors, they stated they would likely drop out from the race but have remained silent on who they would endorse if they did drop out.

Date : January 21, 2028

Place : Clemson University, Clemson, South Carolina

Host : MSNBC

Moderators : Chris Hayes and Rachel Maddow

Podium Order :

Whitmer          Warnock          Harris          Shapiro          Buttigieg

Question from Chris Hayes : "Three days ago, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Senator J. D. Vance surprised the nation when they won and reached second place in Iowa respectively despite being below Kristi Noem in prior polls. Following that, Governor DeSantis and Senator Cruz dropped out of the presidential race and now Senator Vance has consolidated his lead, leading by double digits here in South Carolina and in Nevada as well as nationwide while leading by six in New Hampshire against Phil Scott. So let me ask you the following question, Mrs. Vice President, Secretary Buttigieg, Senator Warnock, Governor Whitmer, & Governor Shapiro : if Senator Vance became the Republican nominee by the end of March, what would be your main argument to convince the American people to support you over him?Vice President Harris, you go first."

Kamala Harris : "Thanks, Hayes. Well, I have to say, throughout my entire time as Vice President, I have never met a man as phony or plastic as Senator Vance. Sure, he talks a big game about being for the little guy and the working class, but when push comes to shove, he is never actually there for them. He supports big pharma and the corporations he claims to oppose. The media hyped him up into something he's really not and he should be called out for whenever he went against the interests of the working class and the common citizen. My main argument, Chris, would be that Vance doesn't care about the average American citizen, he's being a politician who has no idea how the real world works. I've been Vice President for eight years, before that I was a Senator, before that, I was the attorney general of my state, and before that, I was a district attorney. I know how the world functions and how government functions. What we need to fix this current crisis and end the Hyper Depression is someone who knows what to do during a crisis and the Senator just clearly doesn't know anything."

Chris Hayes : "Senator Warnock?"

Raphael Warnock : "Now, I have served in the United States Senate, I've been serving in it for the past seven years. Because of that, I have gotten to know Senator Vance very well and let me just say that that man is everything you would think him to be : snobbish, elitist, has a mightier-than-thou attitude, weasels away when he's called out on something. The Senator has been a rabble rousing disaster from the moment he stepped into the capitol building. Remember how he ensured Senator Thune was ousted from leading the party last year? Now imagine that disruptive attitude in the White House. Sure, it might work for a few years, but when the Democrats retake Congress, he will be unable to compromise and this crisis will continue to spiral because of that."

Chris Hayes : "Governor Shapiro, what will be your argument?"

Josh Shapiro : "Well, I'm not as knowledgeable as the Vice President, Secretary Buttigieg, and Senator Warnock on Vance, I plan to make my argument clear and concise : America, don't vote for this false flag of freedom and prosperity. What he is offering you is the chaos of Donald Trump with a cleaner face. You think it's bad now? Imagine a President with an agenda to tear down the entire federal government being president at this time when the federal government is needed to help people. Imagine how many jobs will be lost, how much the debt will grow, how large inflation will rise. Senator Vance's economic platform will continue our financial ruin and that is something America doesn't want or need right now."

Chris Hayes : "Governor Whitmer, how will you convince America to support you over Vance?"

Gretchen Whitmer : "Like Governor Shapiro, I don't know Senator Vance as well as I'd like, but he just rubs me the wrong way. Seems like a know it all who actually knows not a single thing. My argument is simple, I have handled a crisis before, COVID-19, and my governance during it was praised by the center and the left with only the far right fringe on the right being against it. Senator Vance, meanwhile, didn't truly deal with a crisis and only did something that the Senate was already working on for East Palestine. That isn't leadership, that isn't taking control of a crisis, that's a follow the leader mentality we need a leader in the White House, not a follower."

Chris Hayes : "Secretary Buttigieg, how will you get America to back you?"

Pete Buttigieg : "I dealt with Senator Vance during the East Palestine train derailment of 2023. I have been criticized and attacked throughout my entire tenure as Secretary of Transportation, and most of this criticism comes from the false allegation that I'm a diversity hire. I am not that, I signed on because the President felt I was most capable for the job and I have proven that I am. When interacting with Vance during East Palestine, I felt the most insufferable urge to tell him off because he kept insisting on these ludicrous, wild ideas that has no basis in reality and just wouldn't work. When I found out he was running for President, I announced my candidacy because I know he would destroy our country, more than Trump ever did. That cannot be allowed to happen, especially in this great time of crisis."

Who won the debate?

Kamala Harris (CA) : 31 %(+6)
Raphael Warnock (GA) : 25 %
Pete Buttigieg (IN) : 19 %
Josh Shapiro (PA) : 13 %
Gretchen Whitmer (MI) : 9 %
Undecided : 3 %

Now, with everything up to now out of the way, thoughts? Also, should I cover the South Carolina Primary for the Democrats or just focus solely on the Republican party for now?

-Fundraiser in Manchester, New Hampshire
-Rally with U. S. Senate Candidate Bruce Fenton in Concord, New Hampshire
-Family Policy Speech in Dartmouth, New Hampshire

"Recently, my campaign has been attacked by the establishment and the RINOs that are left in this party for being 'leftist' and 'socialist' because of my pro-family policy. I ask you this : is it socialist to support the nuclear family? Is it socialist to invest in our future? Is it socialist to want to see new children be born and feel America's greatness for themselves? Because I feel that it isn't. The very idea of conservative comes from its root word, to conserve, but for the last sixty years, what, exactly, have we conserved as a movement? The nuclear family fell apart and we did nothing. Mass immigration saw our cities, culture, and society transform and we did nothing. American companies hired illegal immigrants or shipped their jobs overseas and we did nothing. The only thing these people want to conserve is the GDP, how rich they get off of your taxpayers, and enriching companies and corporations that hate you.

Now, one key aspect of my campaign has been attacked quite a bit and that is my pro-family policy. What I plan to do is encourage couples to get married and to have children, to encourage our birthrates, to allow families to live on a single income and make a down payment on a house and a car. Its an investment into our future. Because of the recent Hyper Depression, New Hampshire's poverty rate has hit with now a little over a quarter, 27.93 %, of your state's population living under the poverty line. Just eight years ago, that was 7.42 %. And because of this, abortions have skyrocketed, drug use has skyrocketed, homelessness has skyrocketed, divorce has skyrocketed. The state of New Hampshire has fallen on hard times and needs something new and fresh.

That's why I am here to bring forward my policy. Introducing a maternal basic income where a mother gets $750 monthly per child with three as a minimum and seven as a maximum, that family can ultimately have anywhere between $486,000-1,134,000, enough money to pay for a car, to pay for a house, to pay for a college tuition, enough to raise a family. That is the first step to bringing our nation together once more. Fixing the nuclear family, investing in our societal future, will do a lot in fixing many of our current problems. How many divorces happen because it is too expensive? How many children and parents fall victim to drug use or alcohol abuse because of how poverty stricken they are? How many broken homes are there because the family can't have a livable wage? I am from Appalachia, the poorest part of the country, and I saw a lot of this first hand growing up and when I returned to care for my dear mother Beverly when she fell victim to a Heroin overdose. "Reports have come recently that there have been a total of 11.73 million illegal border crossings in the last year alone. Think about that, that's almost twelve million illegal immigrants entering this country. Twelve million invading our nation, going into our cities, living off the american taxpayer, taking the jobs the rightfully belong to you, the american citizen, depressing your wages, and changing a place you have lived in your whole life. And last week, I read reports that of the nearly twelve million that entered this country, around two-hundred-and-fifty thousand, a quarter of a million, were transported and dropped off in the Granite State and now there are rumblings from the border that even more is on their way here so the President can assure Harris with with new voters utterly loyal to her and the Democratic party. Governor Scott may say it's racist, that it's a conspiracy theory, but is it either of those things when you can see it with your own eyes?

The governor is not someone who gets working class Americans, he doesn't believe Americans are worth a damn. No, he believes that illegal immigrants should be Americans simply because they come in here, that we welcome them in with open arms despite what they will bring with them. Of course, what else is to be expected by a 'Republican' who is a progressive on every issue except money because that's what his special interests want. They want to replace the American worker with cheap labor so they don't have to pay you all a fair wage and can have a loyal class of serfs to make money off of. Phil Scott works for them, not the people of Vermont, New Hampshire, or America, and he has proven this again and again.

When I'm President, I will institute a massive government deportation program, first to deport all illegals who entered in the entire administration of Joe Biden. Then I will go further back and do it for those who entered under Trump, Obama, W, Clinton, Bush Sr, and even Reagan if I must if these people refuse to assimilate and instead show patriotism and adoration for the country they left behind. If they love their homeland so much, I will send them back, free of charge. Then, I will institute a immigration moratorium for twenty and enforce a strict assimilation program to encourage immigrants to either assimilate or leave. Once that is done, we will see a nation with fairer wages, a roaring job market and economy, a new found love for the country, and a nation that is safer than ever before. Elect me and America will shine brighter than it has in its entire history!
