He said in 2016 that he was going to vote 3rd party or write-in. He likely voted Biden in 2020. This comment does not surprise me

Good for Romney! He’s got character and is choosing country over party — as we all should.

The ultimate Romney-Biden voter. God bless him for understanding the stakes in this election. He desperately wants to vote Republican but isn't willing to put party loyalty over the Constitution.

He said he wrote-in his wife in 2016.

I was absolutely terrified of a Romney presidency in 2012. It's crazy to think that he's probably the best GOP presidential nominee in the last 23 years.

If more Republicans were like Romney, they wouldn't be so bad. I would still disagree with the party on most things, and I still wouldn't vote Republican, but I wouldn't dread a Republican victory in elections.

I wasn't. I loathed GWB and was pretty terrified of the McCain/Palin ticket in 2008, but I never found Romney scary. Good on him for doing the right thing here.

Imagine telling Romney, as he's watching Paul Ryan debate Joe Biden in 2012, that he would one day be voting for Joe Biden for President. I'm pretty sure he'd have a stroke.

Romney personally and voluntarily paved the way for Trump whether he likes it or not. There is no Trump without Romney.

McCain was a pretty mixed bag but by standard of Republicans I don't think I'd take Romney over him.

23 years seems to indicate you have a soft spot for Bob Dole, which...I'm very sure I'd take McCain over Dole.

No, I just decided to make the beginning of the 21st century the cutoff. Though technically, the 21st century started in 2001, not 2000.

Paul Ryan isn't gonna be at RNC Convention if Trump is the Nominee the Rs been running on the Southern Strategy since 1968 and poverty has gone up since 1968. Blks didn't vote and Latinos didn't vote during Reagan era due to projects 17 M impoverished in 68 now it's 65 M now. The blk and Brown population of kids have gone down from 3 to 1 while whites have maintained 3. When you see whites they have a bunch of kids those are theirs but when you see blk and Brown with alot of kids it's extended family usually.

That's why Biden whom is struggling in the polls is ultimately gonna win because it's 65/60 M more Ds than Rs

But, a D primary makes the nomination stronger not weakens it and DNC did everything since  2016 to have Hillary and Biden as the nominees

In hindsight Hillary was the weaker candidate not Biden and we lost 3 SCOTUS seats due to Trump. OMalley or Bernie should of been Prez in 2016 but Biden is struggling now too but the red wave in 22 never happened with BIDEN

Well, he's putting his money where his mouth is. I can respect that, even if I disagree with most of his policy positions.

Well, if you were Bob Dole you wouldn't put Bob Dole under Bob Dole's Former Colleague.

It would be funny if Biden lost to Trump with 47%.

Full steam ahead with the realignment. Excited to see what the future holds.

(This is not an endorsement of Trump, whose presidency was largely a failure in my view, but if there’s one thing I’m grateful for about the Trump era, it’s that it has purged all the right people from the party.)
