My mother is a decidedly leftist Facebook troll, while my father is more slightly left of center. He supports the mainstream center-left positions (gay marriage, higher tax rate for the wealthy etc.) and has voted Democratic on the presidential level since at least 1996, which has only intensified after the Bush era, but sometimes falls victim to allegedly reasonable "common sense" conservatives. For instance I suspect he is supporting Christie in our upcoming gubernatorial election.
