I still call on Lewis to not waste the senate's time with this bill.  It has at least 4 confirmed votes against

     I find it curious though that Torie voted against the motion to table.

It doesn't seem like there is much room for compromise, is there?

     The obvious compromise (half regional, half at-large) is already in effect. So I guess you're right, there isn't a lot of room for it.

     They would need some power to cause mischief indeed. Maybe if a majority of Governors choose to do so, they can veto a bill without allowing for an override?
