Possibly

I still call on Lewis to not waste the senate's time with this bill.  It has at least 4 confirmed votes against

I find it curious though that Torie voted against the motion to table.

He opposes it, but believes it's worth debating. Or so I gather.

I supported the end of districts wholeheartedly, but I cannot allow the end of regional senate seats to happen.

Why can't you?

And regional elections are usually boring.

That said, a Council of Governors, consisting of all 5 Governors, could do wonders if given some power.

The more I think about it, the more I like a Council of Governors as an upper house, similar to the old Reichsrat. Members of either house would be able to propose legislation, but it would proceed through the Senate first, and the Council would only be able to veto legislation. The veto could be overriden by a two-thirds majority in the Senate.

Well, this would be a very small house, an upper house rather than a lower one, and wouldn't add any additional offices.
