I object to Talleyrand's amendment.    If we are going to require a warning label of the sort suggested, it should be something that the maker is able to just stick on their product without having to guess and wait for bureaucratic approval.

Tmth, that sounds like SAMHSA is going to be fined if they don't comply, but I don't think that's what you mean.

Can we just do the tribal issue as its own amendment to start off with?

I don't see why alcohol would be treated any differently from the other drugs mentioned, but I'm not convinced we need to be dictating to municipalities on this issue in any case.

It is health reasons for me, though I would at least be OK with adding cigarettes and marijuana. Regardless, I plan to vote for this when it reaches a final vote, though I'm less than thrilled with what looks to be the final version.

For the sake of speeding things up (shocker, people still care about this), I am withdrawing my amendment.

Are any of those other drugs more of a health problem than tobacco and alcohol?

The original version of this bill said "completely" before "prohibit."  Putting that word back in would clear up this issue and others that might arise.

Is this turning into another attempt at a comprehensive drug control policy?  If we are going to do that, let's be sure to amend or repeal the current legislation on this topic so it doesn't conflict.
