I think this is a good change. In any case, if road safety is put into concern we can invest in infrastructure and law enforcement patrols for roads and highways so we can minimize the risks.
I would be willing to vote for this provided those provisions were added.

One thing that might be worth discussing is something that I don't know the name for Tongue but here in sunny SWFL, each traffic light has a light attached that flashes when an ambulance in action is driving through. These usually provide drivers advance warning and allow them to begin getting out of the way.

Something like that could be very useful and should be considered for implementation across the South.
Such an amendment would be a decent idea, I think.
