We're gonna get daily early voting turnout reports from Georgia, right?

If these numbers are accurate, that’s a massive increase from both 2016 and 2018.

I’m assuming this is accounting for mail-in ballots received also?

So far it's all mail-in.  Early in-person voting started today.

Does anyone know what turnout was in Dane and Milwaukee in 2016 as a reference point?  I'm assuming Dane was high and Milwaukee was lower.

Turnout in Dane was 82.4% while Turnout in Milwaukee was 79.8%

Thanks!

Long lines & big crowds in Minnesota/Ohio/Virginia: "Look at all the enthusiasm! Dems are gonna do great here for sure!"

Long lines & big crowds in Georgia: "Voter suppression! See why Democrats are foolish in even contesting this state?!?"

I feel like folks were just salivating to scream "Suppression!" as soon as Georgia had the same long lines that we've seen in every other state so far. I guarantees it'll happen again tomorrow when we see the long lines in Texas

Was just thinking about the conversation on old people voting really early.  I think this is good for Biden.  Trump is at a low point right now and covid is dominating the conversation.  I'd rather have old people locking in their votes now.  Biden doesn't even need to win them, he just needs to do well.  Young people will vote for him later in the calendar.

Yea this is pretty annoying, people should wait to complain about said states until people are actually reporting actual issues.

It's the fact that Georgia has such few places to vote early and in prior elections the GOP have actually closed voting locations for reasons that made no apparent sense.

Nevada has posted its first numbers (so far only four rural counties). Funny enough, Democrats lead the returns in all four counties which all have a lot more registered Republicans than Democrats

Do we think these are actual Dems or ancestral rural Dems who are voting GOP anyways?

Other than Mineral and maybe Nye, which rural counties have ancestral Dems in Nevada?

I think Democrats are just eager to voice there displeasure with Trump. There are Democrats in even the most Republican counties in the USA and vice versa.

https://www.forsythnews.com/news/politics/advance-voting-nov-3-election-begins-forsyth-county/ has a picture of a very long line waiting for the polls to open at Sharon Springs Park in Forsyth County, Georgia.  This is in the southeastern part of the county, which is the fastest growing and less conservative part.  I haven't seen any pics from other early voting locations.

My brain will never be able to reconcile red = Democrat. I've seen the old maps in news coverage and see they were used interchangeably. Plus I love the color blue.

Not necessarily an early voting piece of news, but I got the call today that I’ve been chosen as a poll commissioner for November 3rd. Figured I’d brag a tiny bit.

Initially the convention was that blue was used for the incumbent party.  But after the 2000 election, when the map stayed on TV screens for weeks afterward, blue = Democrat became the standard.

Crazy registration numbers in Texas.

Just over a million new voters since November 2018. Or 1.5 times the number of registrations between 2016 & 2018.

But "It's not there yet"

Some pollsters are probably better than others, but I have to imagine Texas' radial growth makes it very difficult to poll. Most polls base their demographics off of the census, but I'm not sure how you can do that when there are already hundreds of thousands of new voters since the last set of estimates.
