How is that voter suppression lol, we have three weeks of early voting.  Nobody forced you to go out in day 1.  So when Pittsburgh has long lines it’s turnout, but with GA it’s suppression. My family is helping with the polls in two counties this year, so I can provide updates on what’s going on.

2+ hour lines are absolutely voter suppression, and there is zero excuse for having multi-hour voting lines when literally every other democracy on Earth (hell, many other states!) don't have them.
We have early voting for the next three weeks, mail in voting, absentee ballots, ect.  Those people didn’t have to go wait in line on day ONE.

This what annoys me so much about the right-wing in this country. It is this idea that if it does not happen to me personally it doesn't exist and everybody else experience is overblown. So to my blue avatars on here if you do not have to wait in 4+ hour-long lines if you never had your ballot rejected, or if you never had your polling location changed for an undisclosed reason then good for you. But do not use your sole personal experience as a means to discredit what is clear and credible evidence of voter suppression.
I waited for 3 hours in July to vote for Trump in a primary against nobody.  Don’t throw me into your biased perceptions.

Long lines & big crowds in Minnesota/Ohio/Virginia: "Look at all the enthusiasm! Dems are gonna do great here for sure!"

Long lines & big crowds in Georgia: "Voter suppression! See why Democrats are foolish in even contesting this state?!?"

They have the next three weeks to vote, or could have voted by mail/absentee ballot.  Nobody forced them to go in day 1 of early voting.  If they would have waited a week the wait would have been 10 minutes.

I am proud to announce that I got four people who did not vote in 2016 (2 first timers, 1 hadn't since 2012, the other since 2000!)to vote over the last week.  +4 for Trump in GA.

My family also has been assisting with the polls in a small rural county in GA (Trump >70% in 2016). On day 1 of early voting they were expecting 800 people, they ended up well over 1000!

First day of early voting always has really long lines.  Don't read too much into it.
Exactly.  Georgia went from 8 hour lines to 20 minutes within a week.
